Destinations to Visit: Yangon - Bago - Yangon.

On this tour you will discover the city's premier attractions such as Shwedagon, Scotts market and the colonial quarter. However we will also take you off the main roads on a voyage to discover the real Burma: tranquil teashops, and quiet neighborhood temples and enigmatic people not afraid to open their hearts and talk to strangers.

You'll be welcomed to Yangon with a visit to the striking Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda and the dazzling Shwedagon Pagoda. The next day, you'll step into Yangon's dramatic history as you visit the National Museum and the imperial Mahabandoola Park. You'll also sip tea and shop for handicrafts among the locals in some of Yangon's most dynamic neighborhoods.

Heading out from the city, you'll take the road to Bago, a gracious Mon kingdom where you'll visit the venerated Shwemawdaw Pagoda and the majestic Kambozathadi palace. On your final day, you'll be granted a car and guide at your disposal, to revel in the charms of Yangon at your own pace, before we wish you farewell at the airport.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Yangon

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your accommodation. Your exploration of Yangon will begin in the afternoon, as you visit some of the city's most awe-inspiring sites, from the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda's immense reclining Buddha to the glittering Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon

Your second day in Yangon will give you an in-depth look at the diverse peoples that compose this fascinating city. After a morning spent admiring the collections at the National Museum and gazing at the Sule Pagoda, you can stroll among the stately European buildings of Mahabandolla Park. From here, you'll travel by rickshaw along colonial avenues on a tour that will take you from a quiet Burmese teashop to a riverside pagoda, before ending your day browsing the stalls of Bogyoke Market and the busy shops of Chinatown. Overnight in Yangon. Includes: (B).

Day 3: Yangon - Bago - Yangon

After breakfast, journey to Bago, the former capital of the ancient Mon kingdom. Your visit to Bago will include seeing the 55-meter long reclining Buddha, the Mon style Shwemawdaw Pagoda, and the restored former palace of Kambozathadi. On the way back to Yangon, you'll visit the Allied War Cemetery, the final resting place for more than 27,000 allied soldiers. Overnight in Yangon. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 4: Depart Yangon. After breakfast, you'll have a car and driver at your disposal until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Includes: (B).
