Cycling amongst the ruins of the Angkor Temples is a truly magical experience. Wind through leafy streets where temples peek out from behind towering trees. Venture to the countryside to discover solitary temples surrounded by endless rice paddies.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Siem Reap - Angkor Complex - Siem Reap. (Today's ride is approximately 25km).

We set off early today to explore the magnificent Angkor Wat Complex, which consist of over 100 temples built between the 11th and 14th century. On our bicycles, we travel along shady roads through the Angkor Complex and enjoy a great ride from temple to temple. We start our visit with the former capital Angkor Thom home to dozens of temples including the enigmatic faces of Bayon, the imposing Terrace of the Elephants, and the three-tiered Baphuon. After lunch, continue on to the jungle encased Ta Phrom and Banteay Kdey. As the day comes to a close, return to Siem Reap with time to freshen up before heading to dinner. Overnight at Tara Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap. Includes: (L),(D).

Day 2: Siem Reap - Angkor - Banteay Srei - Siem Reap. (Today's ride is approximately 25km).

Today our adventure starts with a 7km ride to the entrance of Angkor Wat, the biggest religious monument in the world. Enjoy a guided tour through this massive temple exploring the stunning bas reliefs, massive towers and huge entrance ways which are certain to leave you awe-struck. Your guide will help you learn about the history and significance of this temple and how it has come to be adopted as the national symbol of the Khmers.

After the exploration of Angkor Wat we get back on our bikes and start cycling away from the main temple complex to Banteay Srey. This is one of best preserved temples in Cambodia and its pink sandstone is covered in intricate carvings. En route, enjoy picnic in the countryside near Banteay Samre, a smaller clone of Angkor Wat which was built between the 11th and 13th century. Throughout the day, we take our time enjoying the beauty of the countryside, meeting friendly villagers, and learning about the well preserved carvings and intriguing history of these magnificent temples. In the late afternoon, head back to Siem Reap either by car or bike for a chance to relax before dinner. Overnight at Tara Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap. Includes: (B),(L),(D).

Day 3: Siem Reap - Rolous - Kampong Phluck - Departure.

After breakfast, we head towards the small village of Roulous and leave the crowds behind. This beautiful 15km ride leads through rural Cambodia and offers plenty of opportunities to once more connect to the local people. Upon reaching Rolous we have plenty of time to explore the three temples of this area. Roulous is the oldest set of temples in the Siem Reap area, dating back to the 8th and 9th century and their architecture is different from the other temples of the main Angkor area. Before continuing our ride, relax and enjoy a snack. A comfortable 8 km drive takes us to Kampong Phluck, a beautiful floating village with a submerged forest. We enjoy a boat tour around the village and soak in the culture of floating life, a unique experience. After enjoying lunch in a local house and exploring the floating forest, we return by bike or car back to Siem Reap where we will end our tour. Includes: (B),(L).
