This tour takes you on a shopping spree at the major shopping centers, otherwise known as shoppers paradise (Jodhpur, Jaipur and Delhi). Jaipur is one of the most active jewel markets of the world, famous for its precious and semi precious stones. Other than jewels, Jaipur is also famous for its textiles. The Bagru block print is the fashion designers craze and the Bandhej (tie and dye) print is very typical of the region. Jodhpur boasts of an array of handicrafts. The internationally known Jodhpur Breeches, locally called Jodhpuris are a favorite buy. Besides you can go in for embroidered shoes, white metal and silver wares, quilts, leather products, wooden toys and a range of other articles. We ease off our tour by visiting the Luni fair before returning back to Jaipur.
Your Itinerary: Day 1: Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur (built in 1727 A.D) you are greeted by the our representative. Then you are transferred to the hotel. We start the full day sight seeing tour of Jaipur – the pink city. First on the line is the Amber fort, on the way we have a look at the Hawamahal (Palace of winds built in 1799 A.D), then we proceed to the Jaigarh fort (the biggest cannon in India is here). In afternoon we proceed to the City palace (museum) and Jantar Mantar. Dinner at Chokhi Dhani resorts (beautifully designed ethnic Rajasthani village resort along with puppet dance). Overnight at Hotel. Day 2: Jaipur. We have today shopping on our list. We start off with visiting Hawamahal market for Jutis (shoes), Traditional Rajasthani Ghagra and choli, suits (clothes) and the famous Rajasthani Rajais (quilts). Then we proceed to shop for carpets and silver jewellery. In evening we leave for shopping of semi precious stones and Antique Rajasthan handicrafts. Overnight at hotel. Day 3: Jaipur-Jodhpur (350 km/6 hours). The adventure begins this morning as we set off for Jodhpur, which was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D. "Set at the edge of the Thar desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert". We reach Jodhpur around late evening only. Overnight at hotel. Day 4: Jodhpur. On the fourth day we move for the full day sight seeing of Jodhpur, which includes: the Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, Girdikot and Sardar market and city tour. Overnight at hotel. Day 5: Excursion to Osian (58 km) en route and departure to Jaipur. Early morning we start the adventure with an excursion to Osian (58 km from Jodhpur). Osian is an ancient township takes one past undulating terrain, punctuated by desert stretches and little hamlets. We return back to Jaipur by late evening. End of tour.
