The bike ride can begin anywhere in the city near your lodging. We will meet you on our bicycles and bring you your rental bikes. We first start with a bike fitting and familiarization with your bicycles, which have triple-rings for easy hill-climbing.
As an example of a ride starting from the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, we would first take a leisurely ride through Griffith Park, the largest city park in the world. At this point, you will be warmed up enough to take on a small hill to be up close and personal with the Hollywood sign perched on Mt. Lee, and the Griffith Park Observatory with one of the most spectacular vistas of any city in the world. There is a nice coffee shop where you and your guest can take a break.
From there, we will descend into Hollywood, and visit Hollywood and Highland where you can take in the sites, including the Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lunch can be enjoyed at any point in the ride, but this site would offer many choices.
From there, we would board the Red Line, and exit in Chinatown, in downtown Los Angeles. From there you will ride by and see many sites, including Los Angeles City Hall, and the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall. The ride then would return to Griffith Park via a short climb through Elysian Park, home of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the use of a river-side bike trail.
