Day 1: Transfer from the International Airport of El Salvador to Hotel Sheraton in the city of San Salvador. Day 2: Copán, Honduras. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Copan, Honduras (130 km north of San Salvador). Visit the village of Copan. Free time to the enjoy the surroundings. Stay at the Hotel Marina Copan or Posada Real. Overnight at Copan. Day 3: Copan Ruins. After breakfast at the hotel, transfers to the ruins. All day long tour to ruins of Copan. Visit the Copan Archaeological Park, named World Heritage by UNESCO, the largest single source of information about the ancient Maya civilization. visit the archaeological site of "Las Sepulturas". Stay at the Hotel Marina Copan. Day 4: Antigua Guatemala. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Antigua Guatemala (175 km south of Copan). Sightings of the Volcanoe “de Fuego” and Acatenango. Visit the Casa Santo Domingo, the San Francisco Church (Santo Hermano Pedro), the “Convento de las Capuhins”, the Calle del Arco, “La Merced” Church and the Handcraft Market. Stay at the Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo in Antigua Guatemala (or similar). Day 5: Antigua Guatemala. Free day to enjoy the surroundings of Antigua Guatemala. Overnight at the Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo. Day 6: Chichicastenango. Early in the morning, after breakfast, departure to Chichicastenango (60 km northeast of Antigua Guatemala). Visit the colorful market (the second largest open- market and oldest in Latin America, open only Thursday and Sunday). Sightings of volcano of Atitlán and Tolimán, Church of Santo Thomas, the Morería and Cerro Pascual. Lodging at Hotel Santo Tomas. Day 7: Lake Atitlan. Early morning departure for Atitlán (40 km south of Chichicastenango). Register at the hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo. Day 8: Early in the morning, transfer to Guatemala City. City Tour of Guatemala City: visit the National Palace of Culture, visit to Plaza de la Constitution and Metropolitan Cathedral. After lunch transfer to San Salvador. Overnight at Hotel Sheraton San Salvador. Day 9: Suchitoto. After breakfast departure to Suchitoto, in Nahuat "Place of Bird and Flower". Suchitoto was an important city “añilera” (that produced Añil) and agriculture. It seems that this colonial city fell asleep at the time with its mud-brick´ structure houses and international cuisine. The hotels are noted for their charm and beauty, proof of this is "Los Almendros de San Lorenzo and La Posada de Suchitlán." Lodging at the Hotel Sheraton. Boat ride along the Suchitlán Lake included. Day 10: Mayan Route ½ Día - Apaneca. After breakfast, departure to visit the Pompeii of America, the archaeological site "Joya de Cerén," declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. Afterwards, visit to the "Ruins of San. Andres" or "Tazumal". Lunch at Santa Ana, where you will be able to enjoy a panoramic tour through the city. Visiting the Gothic Cathedral and National Theater. Transfer to Apaneca. Lodging at hotel Alicante. Days 11 & 12: Coffee tour and Playa La Libertad. After breakfast, departure to the “Beneficio el Carmen”, with its coffee plantations and machinery of the epoch. Visit to the colorful towns of Juayúa, Apaneca, Ataco and Comasagua, where we will be able to see the handcrafts made by the artisans of the towns. Transfer to Playa Zunzal at La Libertad.
