We begin our adventure exploring the rustic beauty of Downeast Maine’s unspoiled coastline and we end our journey enjoying Acadia National Park’s dramatic views. Together they offer a stunning journey along the Maine coast.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Your leaders will collect you from your hotel on the morning of the first day for the transfer to Lubec and the start of our trip. After a picnic lunch overlooking the ocean, we hike along Maine’s Bold Coast for panoramic views of Passamaquoddy Bay and stretch our legs with a short bike ride. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 2: Today we cycle to Cutler, one of the last pristine fishing villages found along the coast. Our ride offers miles of solitude, ocean views, abundant sea roses, and the opportunity to pick wild blueberries. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: A morning of hopping down the coast leads us to the quaint village of Corea, where we enjoy a picnic before pedaling around the stunning Schoodic Peninsula and into Winter Harbor for a ferry for a ride across Frenchman Bay and into the town of Bar Harbor. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: We spend our morning exploring the ocean by kayak. The afternoon is yours for exploring Bar Harbor, relaxing, hiking, or biking before we embark on a sunset sail. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 5: Picture, breathtaking scenery, gentle grades, and car free cycling, and you have Acadia’s famous carriage roads. A gift of John J. Rockefeller to help the people of America enjoy Acadia’s beauty the carriage roads offers the opportunity to cycle through stately forests of pine and birch and to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Desert Island. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: No visit to Acadia is complete without visiting the summit of Cadillaic Mountain, the ambitious can cycle up and down, while the rest grab a van ride up for the view and the wicked fun downhill, before a noon transfer to Bangor.
