Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: You will be met at the location of your choice in Avignon at around midday. After lunch, a short drive will take us to the lavender museum close to Coustellet where you will be able to discover the whole history of lavender. After this visit we will drive to the Cistercian Abbey of Senanque, one of the jewels of Provence. Your first night will be spent in a very charming hotel in the region.
Day 2: A very scenic drive through many interesting places and small villages will take us to Manosque. After lunch we will visit the world famous Occitane factory, a premier producer of lotions and perfumes. Further down the road we will arrive in the exquisite village of Moustiers Sainte Marie. This village enjoys an exceptional setting surrounded by the Verdon Gorges, spectacular lavender fields and Lake Sainte Croix. Moustiers is also the earthenware capital of Provence. A night stop in the middle of this stunning scenery is a must.
Day 3: Today we are going to enjoy a drive down the tiny country roads from one magnificent place to another. We will pass Forcalquier and then go to Sault, the lavender capital. If you enjoy picnics, this will be the perfect day to plan one in the middle of the lavender fields, of course. If the weather is nice enough we will drive up to the Mont Ventoux. The view from the top is truly breathtaking, especially if the Mistral has cleared the air. You can see the Alps, the Vercors and the Mont Blancs! We will end this gorgeous day close to Carpentras.
Day 4: After breakfast the car will bring you back to Avignon, our final destination, with a head full of cherished memories and unforgettable experiences.
