Our weekplong features the best of this wonderful island. From the historic village of Charlottetown to the quiet grandeur of the North Shore, Prince Edward Island is a magical place full of history and natural beauty.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival and Exploring Charlottetown. Your leaders will collect you in Charlottetown on the 1st morning of the tour a short ride leads us to quiet coastal roads which we cycle along the Northumberland Straight to the Point Prim Light before retuning to Charlottetown to spend the night Cycling Options: 25 miles Meals: Lunch, Dinner Lodging: The Great George or Dundee Arms Inn. Day 2: Exploring Rural Coastline. Today we cycle counter clockwise around the island enjoy and more coastal views and the exploring the Brundenell Provincial Park. Cycling Options: 20, or 30 miles Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Lodging: 2 nights at The Inn at Bay Fortune Day 3: Basin Head and East Point. Today we cycle to the Basin Head Provincial Park where we enjoy lunch and time to walk the beach and explore the fisheries museum before continuing on to East Point, the most easterly point in PEI. Cycling Options: 20 or 40 miles Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Day 4: Quiet Beaches. Quiet roads lead us to the charming town of North Lake before we continue east and towards Blooming Point for a hike across salt marshes and sand dunes to a rugged beach.. Cycling Options: 25 to 40 miles Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Lodging: 2 Nights at Shaw's Hotel Day 5: Exploring Bays and Dunes. In the morning we explore PEI national Park by Kayak and in the afternoon we cycle the along the shore of PEI National Park Cycling Options: 30 or 60 miles Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Day 6: PEI National Park. We cycle more of the Northern Shore of PEI before lunch and a short ride back to Charlottetown Cycling Options: 30 miles Meals: Breakfast, Lunch 2010 Tour Dates: - July 18-23, 2010 - August 15-20. 2010 - September 5-10, 2010.
