Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Masindi. You will be meet and greet upon arrival at Entebbe airport, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. Excursion of the ranch with our guide. After lunch, drive to Kaniyo Pabidi. Overnight at Kaniyo Pabidi Cabins. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 2: Get set for a chimp walk in the dense forest in the morning. Our experienced guides will help you find them, and once located you can view these charismatic apes for up to one hour. The terrain is flat allowing for easy walking conditions for most visitors. Also have a chance to look at different plant species, insects and birds during the forest walk. After lunch, drive to the Top of Murchison falls where you will have a 2 hr trek and later go for your accommodation at the Red Chili Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Victoria Nile. Begin the day with a cup of coffee, cross the placid Victoria Nile at 7:00 am to the northern Bank. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron". En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, water buck and Uganda Kob, crocodile etc. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, horn bill, cormorant and the rare shoe bill stork. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: After breakfast start your day with a boat ride to the Albert delta to view the game and birds along the banks of the river. In the afternoon after lunch, drive to Masindi for a night at Masindi Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 5-6: Kibale National Park. An early start by road for Kibale National Park via Albertine escarpment. A drive along the rift valley scenery and section of Lake Albert through out the journey on a good murrum road offers you very good scenery of African Landscape. The distance is long taking about 7-8 hours. You will have a hole day to view from early morning the chimpanzees habituation. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. Overnight at Chimps Nest. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park. This morning you are escorted to Bigodi wetland for one of the best nature walk to view the monkeys, birds and plants. Later drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing en route. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 8: Dawn game drive in Ugandas best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant, lion, warthog, buffalo and kob, expect to see some rare animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Albert and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Accommodation and overnight at Simba Safari Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: Kyambura Gorge. Drive to Kyambura Gorge for a chimp trek, later drive to Ishasha for a game drive to spot rare Africa climbing lions and other game. Continue on to Bwindi via Ishasha road. This route is famous for the rare tree-climbing lions. Have an evening nature walk along the river bank. Dinner and overnight at Ntungwe River camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 10: Bwindi. Today, we go for a morning game drive to look for the tree climbing lions. After lunch from the camp, we drive to Bwindi via the tea plantations and forests. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Mountain Gorilla Trekking. Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi via Ruhija, continue to Kabale a region popularly known by many tourists as the 'Switzerland of Africa'. The scenery of winding road, hills and valleys, terraced landscape and friendly African people will amaze you. In the evening, take a walk to visit the nearby local communities. Dinner and overnight Bunyonyi Overland Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: The day begins with a boat trip for sight seeing and birding along Lake Bunyonyi. Feel the wonders of nature as you will see big terraced hills, big valleys and forests! After lunch, drive to Kisoro. Overnight at Kisoro Travelers Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 14-15: Volcanoes National Park. These will be to amazing days. You will visit Golden monkey, trek gorillas, view the interesting life of Volcanoes National Park. Overnight at Muhabura Guest House. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 16-17: Travel to Nyugwe Forest national park via the scenery of Lake Kivu with lunch en route. Have an evening guided nature walk in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House. Abd in the morning you will begin a guided nature walk in the forest to look for the chimpanzees. Picnic lunch. In the evening, you will go on an escorted walk in search of large groups of colobus monkeys - sometimes as many as 400 in a group. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 18-19: Kigali - Mbarara. Transfer to Kigali where you will have an opportunity to visit the National Genocide museum. Overnight at Hotel Chez Lando Hotel. On the 19th day we will drive to Lake Mburo national park via Kabale. Lunch break is made at Mbarara town. After your lunch, a game drive en route to the park and amazing evening guided walk. You can expect to see the Zebra, impala, warthog and many birds. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 20: Kampala. After breakfast make an early morning game drive and expect to see Warthog, Eland, Uganda Kob, Buffalo, impala and many birds in this savanna park believed to be an extension of Tanzania plains. After lunch, from the camp drive to Kampala. A stop over for photography is a must at equator crossing! Onward transfer to Entebbe Airport. Includes: (B), (L).
