Leaving the hotel, going to the train station, taking the funicular (Cog Wheel Train) to the top of the mountain, view of the city (Beaches, Downtown, Forest) and the monument of 125 feet (38 m.), then back to the hotel (can be combined with lunch, another tour, visit to the Forest, etc.). When you visit the monument you visit also the National Park of Tijuca, a rain forest, with a magnificent variety of plants. It is a secondary Forest, re planted by the man in the nineteen century.
Since 2003 there are elevators and escalators in the visit, making more comfortable the arrival to the top of the mountain, right in front of the monument. It is possible also to lunch something in the restaurant, or to enjoy delicious juices with many fruits of Brazil. Is one of the most important places to be visited in the city of Rio.
