Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Zagora. Morning pick-up from your road/hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco offering spectacular panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. Visit several Kasbah along the way, including Tamnougalte and Ait Benhaddou. A 16th century UNESCO site, Ait Benhaddou is one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbah in Morocco. A famous site for Hollywood films, Ait Benhaddou was used for the blockbuster film of 2000, Gladiator. The trip continues through the palm-lined Draa river valley. Arrival in Zagora. Includes: (D). Day 2: M'hamid - Tamgroute - Sahara Desert. After breakfast we travel towards M'hamid with a stop in Tamgroute. Visit the famous Coran Library and subterranean Kasbah. At 3 pm we depart M'hamid on saddled camel for a 2 hour ride. Nomad tent. Includes: (D). Day 3: Sahara Desert - M'hamid - Ergg Chegaga. In the morning, we travel back to M'hamid via saddled camel, switching to 4 X 4 vehicle transports. We travel through the desert to the dunes of Chegaga. The largest group of sand dunes in the region, the Chegaga reaches an elevation of 300 meters and a span of 40 km. Evening in the desert. Nomad Tent. Includes: (D). Day 4: Erg Chegaga - Marrakech. After breakfast, departure by 4x4 vehicle along the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid. Cross Lake Iriqui. Lunch in Taznakht. Arrive in Marrakech around 6:30 pm. Notes:
