Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Addis Ababa. Pick you from airport and transfer to your hotel. Hotel: Ghion.
Day 2: Addis Ababa
Pick you from the airport and transfer to your hotel and then if there is time make a city tour including Merkato-the largest open air market in East Africa, Trinity Chatedral-the magnificent baroque style architecture, Entoto Mountain-highest peak (3,200m) in Addis Ababa. Hotel: Ghion. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Addis Ababa – Bahir Dar. Fly to Bahir Dar, and in the morning visit the city and then after lunch make a boat trip on Lake Tana and visit the monasteries church including Ura Kidane Mehert, Azua Mariam aand Daga Estifanos. Hotel: Tana. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Bahir Dar – Gondar. In the morning, drive to 30kms from the city and visit the Blue Nile Falls and after lunch drive to Gondar explore the Castle building, Debre Brehan Selase Church and the bath of king Fasilidas. Hotel: Goha. Includes: (B).
Day 5: Gondar – Sankaber. Drive to 4 to 5 hours from Gondar to Sankaber, and start trekking 4 to 5 hours. You may also be lucky enough to spot you first lammergeyers and gelada baboons. Hotel: Simien Lodge. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Sankaber – Gondar. Visit the park with a little bit of hiking (adjusted to your abilities). If you do not wish to hike you can enjoy the views. And then Drive back to Gondar. Hotel: Goha. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 7: Gondar – Axum. Drive to Axum through the zigzag and magnificent Lima limo landscape as well as through the splendid Tekeze River gorges. You will also observe en route the Amhara and Tigrain people culture and villages. Hotel: Yeha. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 8: Axum. Visit the city of Axum including Axum Tsion Marry church, the bath and palace of Queen Sheba and the tomb of king Kaleb. Hotel: Yeha. Includes: (B).
Day 9: Axum – Lallibela. Fly to Lalibela and visit 11th rock hewn churches in Lalibela, defined as the 8th wonder. Hotel: Roha. Includes: (B).
Day 10: Lallibela – Addis Ababa. Fly back to Addis Ababa and make a city tour of National Museum: the cast of the 3.2 million years old “LUCY” found, Ethnological museum: provides insight of Ethiopia, Souvenir area: where find a Varity of traditional items. Hotel: Ghion. Includes: (B).
Day 11: Addis Ababa – Awassa. Drive to Awassa town along the Rift Valley Lakes. Awassa is a lakeside town like Bahirdar town. En route, we will have stops at Koka dam, Lake Ziway and along the road to view Villages, birds and the scenery. Hotel: Pina. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 12: Awassa – Arba Minch. Drive to the interesting Awassa lake fish market to see different water birds, Columbus monkey, fishermen and the local people eating raw fishes with local hot spice and bread. Then we drive to Arbaminch. En route visit the villages of Gurage for their staple food of Kocho made from the false banana. Hotel: Sewaynes. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 13: Arba Minch. In the morning drive to the Dorze Vilage and visit the Dorze people, famous for their textiles, inhabit the territory. Their bamboo houses are each surrounded by a small garden. After lunch visit the crocodile market and make a boat trip on Lake Chamo. Hotel: Sewaynes. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 14: Arba Minch – Jinka. Drive to Jinka and on the way visit the people of Ari, Banna and Tsemay. Hotel: Jinka Resort. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 15: Jink – Mursi - Jinka. Drive to visit the Mursi village, whose women have the custom of expanding their lower lips using disks that gradually get larger and larger. Hotel: Jinka Resort. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 16: Jinka – Dimeka - Turmi. Drive to Turmi and Visit the People of Hammer, famous for their hair style. And if it on Saterday, explore Dimeka market and meet the Hammer, Karo, Dessanech and more people. Hotel: Evangadi Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 17: Turmi – Murulle - Turmi. Drive to Korch people who famous for their extravagant hairstyle in men and for the different ornaments and painting all over their body of all men, women and children. Hotel: Evangadi Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 18. Turmi – Yabello. Drive to Yabello, en route visit Konso people chief’s house and their villages while observing their traditions. Hotel: Mobil. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 19: Yabello. Take an excursion to Elsod Crater Lake where it is the tradition of the Borena people to extract salt for their cattle and for their consumption. This day, you will also have a chance to see the “singing well” practice by the young Borena men. Hotel: Mobil. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 20: Yabello - Langano. Drive to Langano. En route, observe the Guji, Gedio, and Sidama people’s culture & their traditions. Enjoy the surrounding scenery and the coffee plantations. Hotel: Sabana Lodge. Includes: (B).
Day 21: Langano – Addis Ababa. Drive back to Addis Ababa by enjoying the rift valley land escape. Hotel: Ghion. Includes: (B).
Day 22: Addis Ababa. Transfer to the air port to go to your home land. Hotel: No. Includes: (B).
