- Distance: 11 miles
- Time: 8 hours - Degree of Difficulty: 8 (very difficult). Follow the steps mentioned in No:6. At the top, after you soak in the ambience of what the top has to offer, together with snacking, its time for do the second leg of the trek. Instead of heading back downhill where you came from, you will head down the opposite direction downhill and follow this narrow trail all the way until you see yourself heading again uphill. This climb is a short one as you are now heading on top of the second peak. Here, this peak is covered by the trees unlike the first peak where you were in the open. At this peak, a perfect view of Maracas Bay and coastline of the Northern Coast that is simply breathtaking. Leaving the second peak, you simply turn around and trek back downhill for about 400 meters where you will now take a right turn down the relatively steep descent on a very narrow trail all the way downhill. One has to be careful from here on as there are a couple of soil erosion along the trail making various parts a bit tricky. The vegetation here is very interesting, for there are quite a few unusual plants here for you to take careful note. It will take about two hours to reach to the watershed as mentioned in “Maracas Valley to Maracas Bay”, where instead of heading to Maracas Bay, retrace your steps back on this route to Maracas Valley all the way back to Hobal Trace. Truly an invigorating walk. One heck of a walk. Notes: Prices:
