Traveling on the Maracas Royal Road, when you reach Acono Junction, turn right and drive along this road until you reach Caurita Road; turn right and drive on until you come to Bancal Road, that is, the second road on the right, take that route and drive uphill all the way until you come to a dirt track on the left. Welcome to the start of Caurita Ridge, the ridge that separates Acono Village and Caura Village.

Start trekking along this very pronounced dirt road until you reach a couple of gardens. Do bear with the hot sun for awhile, for after twenty or so minutes, you will eventually come in contact with nature. There are a couple of streams along the way where you can sap your head and face which is very refreshing. Continue along the clear trail until you come to the sign marked “Rest house”. From here, you will now veer to the right onto a smaller trail. Trek along for a further thirty minutes until you come to a “T” junction, take the left turn and proceed along this trail completely ignoring trails on both left and right sides. Enjoy the peacefulness of the forest.

Trek along until when you see the vegetation of the forest starting to get sparse, look out for a narrow trail on the left, take it and follow the narrow trail all the way until you eventually come to a clearing indicating to you that Las Cuevas Bay is just ahead. You will eventually come to a private road and a large silver tank with steps just ahead. As you reach to the bottom of the steps, you are now on the North Coast Road. The beach of Las Cuevas is waiting to lap up your now tired body. Enjoy.
