Departure 8.30am, returning to Auckland 6.00pm approx. From Auckland we travel south towards the Bombay Hills, through Huntly, into the Waikato River region to the township of Ngaruawahia. Here we leave the main highway, travel south west through Pirongia and onto Otorohanga. We arrive at the Waitomo Caves at approximately 11.00am to join the 11.30am cave tour, followed by a second cave tour at 1.00pm. Thousands of glow worms radiate their unmistakable luminescent light, as expert guides provide informative commentary on the cave’s historical and geological significance.
On the return journey to Auckland we halt for high tea at Bracu, in the Bombay Hills. Bracu is the centerpiece of the the largest private olive grove in New Zealand, Simunovich Olive Estate. Suitable pre and post ship cruises. Notes: Price Includes:
