Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Playa Costa del Sol.

Welcome at the airport, airport transfer to Costa del Sol, the beautiful beach in Costa del Sol. After check in we will enjoy a boat ride (included) by the Estero de Jaltepeque, surrounded by beautiful estuary mangrove reserves flora and fauna. Then, we will get back to the hotel and enjoy the beach.

Day 2: City Tour.

After breakfast, relaxing bath in the sea or swimming pool, check out before noon, to move to San Salvador City, El Salvador´s Capital, to lunch. In the Afternoon City Tour by the Historical Centre: San Salvador´s Cathedral, the National Palace and the National Theatre. Visit to the Park "Planes de Renderos" and "La Puerta del Diablo" (The Devil´s Door). Overnight in San Salvador City.

Day 3: Mayan Route.

After breakfast, departure to visit the Pompeii of America, the archaeological site "Joya de Ceren", declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1993, after visiting the Ruins of "San Andres". Lunch in the city of Santa Ana and scenic tour through the city: Santa Ana´s Gothic Cathedral and Santa Ana´s Theatre. Visit the archaeological site "Casablanca", where he observed a demonstration of dyeing cloth with indigo as did our ancestors. Later visit the "Tazumal Ruins". Return to the city. Overnight in San Salvador.

Day 4: Ruta Colonial, Volcanes y Café.

Departure after breakfast to the Volcano Complex, to admire the beautiful cone of Izalco Volcano, 1 hour walk by the sighting of the Cerro Verde, Ilamatepec Volcano and Lake Coatepeque. Then, transfer to have lunch in one of the 3 colonial towns to visit: Juayúa, Apaneca and Concepcion de Ataco with a lot of handicrafts, paintings and colorful blankets made in ancient looms. Back to the Hotel in the City. (Overnight in Apaneca Optional)

Day 5: Cihuatán and Ecotourism La Palma.

After breakfast, move to the ruins of Cihuatán. The city of Cihuatán is the largest known archaeological site in El Salvador and has long remained Central America's least known and most spectacular treasure. Its name means "Place of women" and has one of the greatest historic ball games found in the country. It was constructed shortly after Chichén Itzá in the Yucatan of Mexico. Later, transfer to the mountains of Chalatenango in the north of the country, visit the artisan village of La Palma, where you can watch the craftsmen of the place, hand-paint typical crafts of the area with designs by the famous Salvadoran painter Fernando Llort. Overnight at La Palma. Night free to enjoy the surroundings and the forest.

Day 6: Ruta de la Paz.

After breakfast, transfer to Perkin town in the mountains of Morazán, in the northeast of the country, where was intensely lived the conflict in the 80s. It is a warm weather and welcoming town that hides a precious treasure recognized as National Heritage and considered El Salvador´s main cave painting the "Corinto Cave" or "Holy Spirit Cave" rock art which are approximately 10 thousand years old. In addition to admire the amazing rock art paintings, you can take a short walk or climb the hills and enjoy the beautiful scenery of one of the richest historical sites. Visit to the "Museum of Revolution" that keeps that part of history of our country. Visit to natural places in “El llano del muerto”, the Sapo River and the Cave of Corinto, best known as the Cave of The Holy Spirit. Overnight at Perkín.

Day 7: Old City Suchito, Colonial Architecture and La Bermuda.

After breakfast, departure to "La Bermuda", an archaeological site representing first location of the Salvadoran capital of San Salvador. San Salvador was established here in 1528, while the Conquest was still in progress. This site is one of the best preserved Conquest-period Spanish sites in the hemisphere. Later, visit "Suchitoto". Suchitoto, in Nahuat "Place of Bird and Flower". It was an important city "Añilera" (that produced Indigo) and agriculture. It seems that this colonial city fell asleep at the time with its mud-brick´ structure houses and international cuisine. The hotels are noted for their charm and beauty, proof of this is "Los Almendros de San Lorenzo and La Posada de Suchitlán." Boat ride along the Suchitlán Lake included.

Day 8: Transfer to Airport.

Three hours before flight departure to the Handicraft Market of San Salvador to make the last shopping of the voyage. Transfer to Airport of El Salvador. Have a nice Trip!
