- Location: Western Northern Range
- Type of Journey: Return trip - Distance: 4 miles - Time: 2 hours 30 minutes - Degree of Difficulty: 5 (strenuous). Instead of turning right onto Caurita Road, stay on the left and drive all the way until you reach a large cocoa field. From here, you will see that you cannot drive any further due to bad roads. Park here and ready yourself. We trek along flat road that will eventually narrow down into a trail. Again, be prepared to get your feet wet as we have to cross a couple of streams. The trail will eventually start going uphill where the walk will become a bit testing as far as endurance is concerned. We are trekking up the El Tucuche Ridge for the next 45 minutes until at last, we reach the top of the ridge and we come to a “T” junction. We turn right along another clear trail until the trail on our left from the “Rest House” we will take. On this trail now, we trek for about 350 meters and take a sharp left. Be careful now as this trail many times is not at all visible whatsoever; but once found, the balance of the trek is easy. We trek for about 40 minutes all the way downhill until we come to a stream. Instead of crossing, turn left and walk along the stream all the way until you reach the ever enchanting “Chorro Falls”. This is a falls of a huge difference where instead of either seeing large bodies of water pounding down or water cascading down the rock; what you will be seeing is water virtually trickling drop by drop down the very tall rock. The sound of the multitude of the water droplets on the different levels of the rock is nothing but total peace and totally therapeutic to the mind. This is the perfect falls for the person wanting total peace. There is also a small pool where you can relax and savor the atmosphere at your own time. Notes: Prices:
