Our route will take us to the source of the Groot River, where we will visit (in Slabberts) a site with ancient San rock paintings. This site is on a private property and has not been visited yet by many people. After that we follow the Groot River via dirt roads from its origin to the finish at Brindisie Drift where the Groot River joins the Caledon River at the Lesotho border. Lunch will be en route on the river. This trip is ideal for birding, photography, and fishing and relaxing.
