The Hyland has truly excellent fishing opportunities, and is off the beaten track, only being paddled by a few groups each summer. The drive to the put-in is long (7 hours) but gives you a chance to experience more Yukon wilderness scenery. If you are looking for a little more whitewater excitement than the Big Salmon, but still an affordable experience, the Hyland River is a perfect choice.
