Traveling aboard a yacht ensures the visitor receives the most intimate Galapagos experience. Truly ‘up close and personal’ with nature and the rugged beauty of the islands: Leaning over the bow watching the dolphins riding the bow wave inches away; spotting that whale in the distance; anchoring in a quiet and secluded cove; strolling the beach amongst the sea lions and watching the boobies dive into the surf; it truly is a unique opportunity.
We offer the opportunity to see the Galapagos Islands aboard our comfortable, exclusive, (16 passengers max.) motor yachts and motor sailors, including the Beluga and Cachalote 1 amongst others. These small exclusive group sizes ensures that our passengers are able to gain access to all the best visitor sites, some of which are closed to the bigger cruise ships. Each boat has a full crew, including a fully trained and licensed multi-lingual naturalist guide. Whilst visitors do not need any sailing experience, persons should be prepared for life onboard. This will maximize the exhilarating experience waiting. (All our boats are equipped with the latest in marine safety equipment, and comply with all rules and regulations. Lifejackets and life rafts are all regularly serviced.) Set sail aboard our ‘First Class’ schooner rigged motor sailor. Feel free to relax and enjoy any of her three wooden decks; maybe soaking up some equatorial sun, or perhaps reading with the wind in your hair and salt in the air. This is a beautifully decorated motor/sailer recently built in 2002 to meet all security standards, according to international marine safety regulations. Cachalote I accommodates 16 passengers in her 8 cabins: upper/lower berths and one matrimonial cabin all with private baths with hot/cold water showers, fully air conditioned with independent air conditioning units in each cabin. There is plenty of deck space on 3 different wooden decks with seats and cushions to relax in the shade or sunbathe during the cruise, but don’t forget that sunscreen! Enjoy beautiful cruising through the islands...spot dolphins and whales...snorkel with the sea lions...see birds with blue feet, red feet or big red 'balloons' on their necks...enjoy the scenery and volcanoes...and marvel at the colourful beaches. Come, relax and have fun on our new vessel. And now with "Smart Voyager Certification".
