Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Nairobi for Maasai Mara at 0630 hours via the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley having a stopover on the route to capture some images of the Great Rift Valley. Move past the picturesque volcanic mountains of Longonot and Suswa before continuing to the Mara. Our arrival in the Mara is before lunch and for this we will check in and have a rest while waiting to have lunch. We will have a Maasai village excursion after lunch to be followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the big five and other game including zebras, impalas, gazelles, elands, giraffes, warthogs and much more. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 2: After an early breakfast we shall leave the camp for a full day game drive. Step by step, we shall scan the plains and the air for our key targets of the day. By this time we should be already be having our list bursting with all the big five, the big seven, the big nine, the bold and beautiful beasts and the mischievous ones! Our drive shall also take us to the Mara River also known as the River of "death and life". We shall drive back late in the evening while enjoying our last game drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: We are this morning leaving Maasai Mara for Amboseli and for this reason we shall be leaving early via Nairobi enjoying our picnic lunch on the way. We shall also consider rewarding ourselves with stop-over at the view point of the Great Rift Valley for some photos moment. Proceeding on to Amboseli national park where we arrive in the afternoon as we enjoy an afternoon game drive on our way to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: We will today leave Amboseli in the morning after breakfast for Tsavo West national park. Our arrival here is in time for lunch. We shall have an afternoon siesta before leaving the camp for a late afternoon game drive in search of the big five and other game and without forgetting our feathered friends, birds. Back to the camp for an overnight stay.
Day 5: An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds in the Tsavo. We will visit several hot spots namely, Chaimu Crater, Shatani lava terrain, Mzima Springs among others. We will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch while here while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating wildlife and sceneries on our way back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 6: This day starts with us leaving the camp after breakfast for our last game drive in search of more game. We will then drive out of Tsavo national park for Mombasa arriving here in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: This morning we shall get started early after breakfast to visit Shimba Hills national park. In this coastal park we shall be able to see some of the coastal restricted species of birds, butterflies and other wildlife. We shall do the city of Mombasa tour in the afternoon before we end this tour in the evening.
