Day 1: Whitehorse Yukon
M19346 staff will pick you up either from you accommodation in Whitehorse or the airport. If you wish to fish on the trip, but have not had a chance to purchase a Yukon fishing license, you should do so with your guide. After a quick tour of town we will drive one hour southeast along the Alaska Highway and then travel another 12 km into the Yukon bush to M19346' base-camp on the shores of Cabin Lake. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent with your guide preparing for the moose hunt together, learning about trip planning, menu planning, strategies for the hunt. After the vehicles is packed we will sight in our rifle and enjoy what's left of our fall Yukon day. Includes: (L), (D).
Days 2-7: Canoe Trip
After a delicious breakfast we will depart Cabin Lake and drive southeast on the Alaska Highway to where the road crosses the Teslin River. This is known as Johnson's Crossing. Here we will turn on to the North Canol Road, driving another hour north to hour put-in for the Nisutlin River. Over the next five days we will travel southeast through some of the best moose habitat in the Yukon. We have a very good opportunity of being successful on our hunt. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Days 8-9: Processing the Moose Meat
After our successful hunt (hopefully) we will return to our base-camp at Cabin Lake and process some of the moose meat into sausages, jerky etc. and relax in the wilderness setting, and perhaps do some fishing for arctic charr on our lake. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
