Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer by shuttle from Nairobi to Arusha at 8:00 hours via Namanga arriving Arusha in good time for Lunch. After Lunch time at leisure and later depart for Moshi after 14:00 hours arriving at your overnight hotel after 16:00 hours. Dinner and overnight at Protea hotels (H/B).

Day 2: After breakfast, early morning departure for Marangu gate, your hiking starts through the fascinating rain forest to your first stop Mandara Hut (Hiking time 5 hours). Dinner and overnight at the hut 9000 ft.

Day 3: After breakfast, depart for Horombo hut. Follow the ascending path through the alpine meadow. The altitude begins to change and that slows down your pace while enjoying the flora and view of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Horombo hut is 12km away from Mandara hut. Dinner and overnight at the hut (12,520ft).

Day 4: After breakfast resume the climb to Kibo hut. The hiking time here is six hours and the landscape here becomes rugged and rocky. Dinner and overnight at Kibo hut (15,520ft).

Day 5: The start of the last ascent is made in the wee hours of the morning while the scree is still frozen. Climb the very steep part of the route to Gilman's Point the most difficult and tiring part. Final ascent to the summit-"The Uhuru Peak" is reached within an hours walk along the crater rim. Start the descent to Horombo hut for overnight.

Day 6: Morning descent to Marangu Gate where you will be met and transferred to Protea hotel for dinner and overnight (H/B).

Day 7: At 8:00 after breakfast drive back to Arusha arriving in good time for your shuttle bus to Nairobi. We do arrange Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya climbing Safaris. These are very popular with student groups and families that are adventurous and we have received very good feedback from our clients. The journey starts in Nairobi on arrival from Europe and later finish with a few days relaxation at our lovely White Sand beaches. All reservations are customized to meet our client’s needs. Whatever your quest for a good and memorable Safari is, just let us know and we shall put together a package that will meet your expectations.
