You start your holiday in lovely Parnu on the Estonian coast, spending 4 nights in our gorgeous Villa then its off to the Latvian countryside and wild beaches, here you will have a car so you can explore at your own pace. Then enjoy a private transfer down to Druskininkai in Lithuania, this pretty Spa town is a great place to finish your tour. Relax by the river and treat yourself to some lovely spa treatments. Flights are not included in the price - as flight prices change so frequently we try and get you the best deal possible at the point of booking.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Tallinn, Estonia and be met by your private transfer, who will take you south west to the Estonian beach town of Parnu. This journey takes approximately one and a half hours. If you wish you can add a night in Tallinn and travel down to Parnu the next morning. Arrive at the gorgeous 5* Ammende Villa where you will stay for 4 nights in a deluxe double in the main house. The 5* Ammende Villa is like stepping back in time, combining old world luxury and comfort with wonderful service, and only a five minute walk from the beach. Built at the turn of the century by a successful merchant for his daughter's wedding, this exquisite villa has been restored to its former glory as a glorious Art Nouveau building. Over night: The 5* Ammende Villa.
Day 2: Explore Parnu at your leisure. Parnu is known as the Estonian Summer Capital. Relaxed friendly and fun, the quaint town of Parnu has a lot to offer. Its beautiful sandy beach, with a shallow bay is a wonderful place to relax for a few days and enjoy some well deserved time off. Over night: The 5* Ammende Villa.
Day 3: Enjoy Parnu at your leisure. You can choose from a moonlight canoe if the time of year allows, or a romantic turret dinner with your own personal waiter and chef. Over night: The 5* Ammende Villa.
Day 4: Enjoy Parnu at your leisure. Over night: The 5* Ammende Villa.
Day 5: You will be met in the Ammende Villa reception for your private transfer to Birini Castle in the Latvian countryside. You will stay at Birini Castle for three nights in the lovely 3* Gardner’s House. Birini Castle is only 55 km from Riga, the Latvian capital. Set in an estate of parks, lakes and woodland, you can hire bicycles, rent boats on the lake or go horse riding. There's a chance to really and experience a traditional Latvian sauna in the vaulted Birini Castle Baths or the watermill baths. Over night: The 3* Gardner's House, Birini Castle.
Day 6: Your car will be dropped off at Birni Castle. You will have this car for the next 6 days, so you can really explore the Latvian countryside. Take a trip to the ancient market town of Cesis and enjoy beautiful Sigulda. Over night: The 3* Gardner's House, Birni Castle.
Day 7: Explore the Latvian countryside at your leisure with your hire car. Over night: The 3* Gardner's House, Birni Castle.
Day 8: In your hire car travel to the lovely 3* Medzabaki Hotel for a four night stay, the journey will take around an hour. The 3* Medzabaki Hotel is just off the Via Baltica - the main road through the Baltics. Overlooking a beautiful lake, this hotel is a lovely place to relax. Taking breakfast on the wooden deck overlooking the lake as the sun rises is a wonderful way to start the day! Just a few minutes drive away is a lovely wild and unspoilt beach. Perfect for really getting away from it all. Over night: The 3* Medzabaki Hotel.
Days 9-11: Relax and explore this area at your leisure with your hire car. Over nights: The 3* Medzabaki Hotel
Day 12: You will leave your hire car at Medzabaki and be met by your private transfer to travel to Druskininkai, a lovely spa town in Southern Lithuania by the Belarus and Polish border. This journey will take around four hours. You will stop for lunch and also stop to see The Hill of Crosses in Northern Lithuania. How the Hill of crosses started is the source of some debate. The most popular idea beginning that crosses were left in memory of a group of insurgents killed in the 1831 rebellion against Czarist rule. Today thousands and thousands of crosses, big, small, simple or ornate reside on a small hill in the countryside.
It's quite something to see and a very special place. Arrive in Druskininkai and check into your hotel the 4* Europa Royale for your three night stay. The 4* Europa Royale opened in 2006 and is right in the center of this pretty spa town. The hotel is housed in a renovated 19th century building and provides elegant and comfortable accommodation in peaceful surroundings. Over night: The 4* Europa Royale.
Days 13-14: Enjoy Druskininkai at your leisure. You can book some spa treatments and really relax. The whole town is a sanatorium and until recently was a place to visit only if you were ill and needed to recuperate. However in the last few years Druskininkai itself has enjoyed something of a revival! Beautiful hotels have opened, that offer luxurious accommodation along with wonderful spa treatments. You can still visit the more soviet style hotels and experience some 'serious' treatments in typical soviet decor.
Treatments claim to treat all sorts of ailments and are very cheap costing as little as two pounds for a mud bath, however if your aim is to experience spa's soviet style then be quick as even these establishments are smartening up to take advantage of interest from western tourists. It is possible to add car hire to your stay in Druskininkai. Over nights: The 4* Europa Royale.
Day 15: Your private transfer will meet you in the Europa Reception for your private transfer to either Vilnius or Kaunas airport for your flight home. End of your countryside and beach tour.
