Katavi National Park. This park has the highest population of Crocodiles, in Tanzania. Its main vegetation is Miombo woodland and scattered acacia trees, especially around lake Chada. Katavi National Park is the only park which has not being disturbed like other parks, it is only 40 km from Mpanda town. Lots of different birds can be sighted, Buffalloes, Hippo, Sable, Roan antelope etc.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Monday. Depart on the schedule flight from Mahale to Katavi airstrip at. On arrival in Katavi you will be picked up by the camp vehicle and transferred to the camp. Dinner and overnight Chada Katavi Camp.
Day 2: Tuesday. Today will be a full day to view game. The activities available in camp are game drives or game walks. Dinner and overnight Chada Katavi Camp.
Day 3: Wednesday. Full day at Chada Katavi with various activities available. Dinner and overnight Chada Katavi Camp.
Day 4: Thursday. After breakfast, you spend the morning at leisure. You will be transferred to the nearby. Airstrip for your schedule flight to Arusha, arriving in the late evening.
