After leaving Marrakech, you will drive through the green orchards of the Haouz plain. In the background, the imposing outlines of the Atlas will stand out. After 34 kms, at Tnine-de-l'Ourika, starts the pleasant Ourika valley, progressively climbing on the foothills of the Haut Atlas.
On the banks of the Assif (river), delightful meadows are shaded by poplars and weeping willows. The villages built in clay hanging to the hills and their colored fields can be seen from a distance. After 68 kms, Setti Fatma marks the end of the way suitable for motor vehicles. It is then possible to visit (on foot only) the glittering Ourika waterfalls among wild scenery and to cross the Assif (river) on a wood bridge offering a magnificent outlook on the valley and the Angour massif. We leave Marrakesh around 09:00 in the morning; we drive toward the Atlas Mountains, many beautiful landscapes and Berber authentic (16th and 17th century) villages. First Stop to visit a tradition Moroccan house, to see how people live and how they cook. From the roof of the house you have a beautiful view on a 17th century village and on the valley. The Lady - the owner of the house - makes a tea ceremony to show us how to make mint tea and after they serve us a kind of country breakfast (bread, butter, honey, olive oil and tea). After this we continue deeper in the valley; we stop for a 20 minutes Camel Ride. After the camel raid we drive until the end of the road, we leave the van and go hiking for two hours to see some water falls (cascades). We come back to the van; we drive half a way and stop for lunch in a nice restaurant having beautiful views on the valley. Lunch is composed of a variety of Moroccan Food. By 5:00PM we drive back to Marrakesh. Notes: Note: All inclusive.
