Kayak through the dramatic limestone formations of Phang-Nga Bay, home to pristine mangroves, wonderful marine life, monkeys, monitor lizards, white-bellied sea eagles, and much more. All this with the aid of an experienced naturalist guide.

Visit Khao Yai national park and trek through vast expanses of tropical forest with your naturalist leader on the lookout for gibbons, deer, monkeys, an amazing array of birds, and if you are lucky, wild elephants.

Day 1: This first day is fully guided in specially designed inflatable kayaks. Your guide paddles you through complex tidal sea caves into lagoons called "Hong's (Thai for "room or chamber"). You will be picked up from your Phuket hotel at 08:00 for the transfer to Ao Por pier, from where you depart by motorboat for the islands.

Arriving at the first of the islands, you will explore caves and lagoons by kayak before having a sumptuous lunch on board the support boat. After lunch, you arrive at a second island for more cave exploration and a circumnavigation of the islands.

Here you will traverse a 300m cave into a giant lagoon. Following an afternoon of exploration, you arrive at your campsite for the night, a sandy beach on a secluded island. After being taught how to handle sit-on-top kayaks, you board the support boat for a delicious Thai seafood dinner. Overnight: Tented camp on the beach. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 2: Having trained on the single seat, hard shell, sit-on-top kayak, you spend the next two days paddling yourself. After breaking camp, we depart for North Koh Yao Noi on the escort boat.

Breakfast on board is followed by a paddle around Lao Ga Do Island, before heading for one of the area's spectacularly large lagoons, home to a mangrove forest. Here there is a chance to see many different types of wildlife. This is followed by lunch on board the support boat before heading to a small group of islands that boasts beautiful sandy beaches and are home to some small pristine reefs.

You will have a chance to snorkel, swim, and paddle in the area before making camp on the island. Then, back to the support boat for an unforgettable sunset dinner. Overnight: Tented camp on the beach. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: After breaking camp and breakfast on board, you will explore an area that is home to a maze of waterways and mangrove forests. Here you will see wonderful rock formations and possibly monkeys, water monitors, white-bellied sea eagles, and bramany kites. After lunch, head to explore Koh Hong.

Check out the island's white sandy beach, snorkel with many tropical fish over a spectacular shallow reef (3m or 10 feet), or explore the interior of the island, which is home to many types of birds, including the great horn bill and white bellied sea eagle. At 15:30, board the escort boat and depart for Ao Por pier.

At 17:00, arrive at Ao Por pier where we will transfer you to your Phuket Hotel. A Thai Cultural show and dinner can be arranged for this evening if required. Overnight: comfortable local accommodation. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Pick-up from Phuket Hotel for the transfer to the airport so that you can catch the morning-afternoon flight to Bangkok. You will be picked up at 10.35 from Bangkok International Airport by private minibus for the 2 hour transfer to Khao Yai National Park. Lunch will be provided on arrival at the park, after which we will head out on a nature walk with your naturalist leader for the rest of the day.

We will explore the lush evergreen forest that dominates the central regions of Khao Yai national park. Having freshened up after your walk, you will visit the offices of the the Khao Yai Conservation Project, a long-term program that brings together wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching training, and rural development projects in an attempt to conserve the park's diverse wildlife.

Here you will meet the project staff who will introduce you to conservation activities and can answer your questions. After dinner, there will be a night drive through the forest; be on the look out for deer, civets, porcupine and other wildlife. Overnight: comfortable local accommodation. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: We start with an early morning walk to a wildlife watchtower to watch for birds such as the great horn bill and to witness activities of dawn at a nearby mineral lick. From the watchtower, you will set out on a full day nature trek with your naturalist leader.

Again, porters will be carrying essentials for breakfast and another delicious lunch in the forest. After finishing the walk and having dinner, there will be another night drive, this time with the team from the Khao Yai elephant project. You will head out around 9pm to try and spot elephants and record their nocturnal activity (elephant encounters cannot however be guaranteed). Then, return back to your hotel between 11-12pm. Overnight: comfortable local accommodation. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: We start with a morning nature trek that focuses on the lives of the park's white-handed gibbons. You will set off early in an attempt to view these amazing forest acrobats at close range. After a lunch on the trail, we will leave the forest around mid-afternoon and transfer you to your local hotel.

Before sunset, we set out to witness thousands of wrinkle-lipped bats as they steam out of a nearby cave and watch peregrine falcons as they prey on the bats. Dinner is followed by an optional night drive to try and find elephants again. Overnight: comfortable local accommodation. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
