Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Fly to Gangar airport 63 km/3650 m 1 hr 30 minutes flight. After breakfast, we will transfer the group to Tribhuvan International Airport to board Air China's Flight No. MU 5837 to Lhasa at 13:40 pm. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport,the group shall be met by our local representative and transfer to Lhasa,By the way drive the bank of Yarlong Tsanpo river and Keychu river. We will stop at Nyithang stone budhha. The group will reach the Hotel Lhasa at approx 4:00 pm,the first day will be spent resting to acclamatize with the altitude because Kathmandu is at 1200 m above sea level and Lhasa is at 3650 m. So it needs some time to acclimatize with the altitude. Overnight Shangbala Hotel. Day 2: Sightseeing. AM:Visit Sera Monastery PM:Jokhang Temple and Barkhor street, Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple. (FB) Day 3: Sightseeing. AM: Visit Potala Palace PM:Drepung Monastery and Norbulingka, Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo. Drepung monastery is built in 1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa. Includes: (FB). Day 4: Drive to Dragong till monastery. Drive to Dragong till Monastery which is located 240km far away from Lhasa where you can see the one of the Tibetan biggest sky burial. Day 5: Visit Dragongtil Monastery and Excursion the valley. Day 6: Drive to Pasumtso Lake. Drive to Pasumtso Lake 390 km far away from Lhasa and Visit the Island Daksumtso Monastery. Day 7: Drive to Lhasa. This morning drive back to Lhasa and afternoon shopping in Lhasa. Day 8: Drive to airport. Fly to next destination.
