This morning drive to Yambulagang Palace and one the way back visit the Tardik Monastery, Chongye Valley, visit the tombs of the ancient Tibetan kings and hiking on the mountains and drive back to Tsethang Overnight Snow Pigeon Hotel (50 km) 2hrs. Day 3: Drive to Samye Monastery. This morning travel by ferry around more then an hour and buy bus to Samye Monastery,Visit Samye Monastery and back to Tsethang Overnight Snow Pigeon Hotel Day 4: Drive to Gyantse. Drive to Gyantse via Yamdoktso Lake Overnight Gyantse Hotel & Fort Hotel (325 km)7 hrs. Day 5: Excursion to the Old Town. Visit Palcheo Monastery with Kubum Stupa and excursion around the old town Overnight Fort Hotel. Day 6: Drive to Shigatse. Drive to Shigatse via Shalu Monastery and it is the second largest city in Tibet. Overnight Hotel Manasarova (90 km) 2 hrs. Day 7: Sightseeing. In morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery (Residance of Pancheng Lamas). Drive back to Lhasa Overnight Shangbala and Keychu Hotel (280) 4 hrs. Day 8: Sightseeing. AM: Visit Sera Monastery. PM: Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street, Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple, Overnight at Keychu Hotel and Shangbala hotel. Day 9: Sightseeing. AM: Visit Potala. PM: Drepung Monastery & Norbulingka. Potala was the winter palace of the Dalai Lama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces,pavilions and a zoo. Drepung monastery; Built in 1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa,Overnight at Keychu Hotel Day 10: Drive to Airport.
