This exciting Wildlife Safari goes to an area that is most unique, in regards to a most breathtaking natural phenomenon, which we encounter once every year: "Snorkel with Whale Sharks!"
The southern edge of the natural reserve of Yum Balam, in the vicinity of Isla Contoy. In this part of the Mexican gulf the wildlife and scenery are protected, and strict protection rules are being observed. This is nature at it's best!
We guarantee the encounter with one of these magnificent animals. We swim with the whale sharks without touching them, and are likely to find also Manta Rays, Turtles, Dolphins and more. The slow moving whale sharks are peaceful and completely harmless animals. At this time of the year they feed on the rich plankton in the green shallow waters of the Gulf of México. Frequently the sharks are curious, and the encounters are indescribable and very emotional. After swimming with the gentle giants, we stop to snorkel at the beautiful coral reef “EL CHE”, where we go snorkeling and provide the guests with a freshly made seafood “ceviche”.
