The Tibetan marriage is very attractive with a variety of ceremonies for engagement and marriage in different places,plus different kinds of scenery. Relatives and friends are invited from everywhere, and everyone gathers to sing and dance, and Tibetan chang (Barley beer), Chinese Beer and White wine are offered to the guests, bride and husband (Ngama and Makpa).

Highland Expedition offering the wedding party tour in Tibetan traditional way with explore the sacred ancient temples, monasteries and places in around Lhasa city and also manage the necessary wedding dresses, singers and dancers during the ceremony as well as we will share our deep experience with our oversea clients.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: FFly Kathmandu to Lhasa Gangar airport (3650 m) 1 hr. 30 minutes flight. After breakfast, we will transfer the group to Tribhuvan International Airport to board Air China's Flight No. CA 408 to Lhasa at 10:25 am. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, the group shall be met by our local representative and transfer provided to your hotel in Lhasa. The group will reach the Hotel Lhasa at approx 5 pm. The first day will be spent resting to acclamatize with the altitude because Kathmandu is at 1200 m above sea level and Lhasa is at 3650 m. So it needs some time to acclimatize with the altitude. Overnight Shangbala/Keychu Hotel (Veg lunch & Dinner).

Days 2-3: Prepare. Shopping.

Day 4: Party. Invite the most popular Tibetan singers and friends gathering. Start to wedding, Dancing and singing as a Tibetan traditional style.

Day 5: Visit Sera Monastery. PM: Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street Sera. Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple (FB).

Days 5-6: Sightseeing. AM: Visit the Potala Palace. PM: Drepung Monastery and Norbulingka palace. Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo. Drepung monastery; Built in 1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa (FB).

Day 7: Drive to Airport 63 km (1 hr).
