Vava'u is home to the South Pacific Humpback Whale between July and October, they use the waters of Vava'u and Tonga to mate, birth and many other behaviors. Our trips are run by professionals, all of our guides have completed whale watching guide courses, as well as 2 guides with marine biology and wildlife management/zoology backgrounds.
The trips are all day, during this time you will witness many behaviors of the whales, including breaching, tail slapping and diving. If the whales are settled and quiet we are able to snorkel with them, this is done in small groups with a trained guide. This really is a once in a lifetime experience, our guides make sure the whales are safe as well as the snorkelers. Nothing beats coming eye to eye with a 40ft adult whale, as they flirt with each other and show you their calves.
Lunch is included on the boat each day, as well as a stop off at one of the world class snorkel sites we have on our doorstep. The trip then ends with a drop off back to your hotel. Night time slideshows by our experts are an additional option for groups.
