Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: The town of Choroní is located about four hours away from Caracas by car, on the north coast of the Henri Pittier National Park. You may wish to take a private land transfer to the town itself. An alternative would be to take the bus to Maracay, and from there a bus on to Choroni. Once you arrive to the town of Choroní, we will book you into Posada El Turpial, a nice, comfortable and cozy posada located in the heart of the town itself, and within walking distance to the pier from which you may charter boats to nearby beaches for your enjoyment and relaxation. Once booked into the posada, you may wonder around the town for a bit, walk to the nearby beach of Playa Grande or charter a boat at the pier to go to the nearby beaches of Valle Seco, Chuao or Cepe. You may even explore the foothill of the lush tropical Henri Pittier rainforest. A splendid dinner is served every evening at the posada at approximately 08:00p.m. Feel free to wonder about the town at night. It is safe and the locals are friendly.
Day 2: After breakfast we will visit the rain forest of the western Andes that are as impressive as the Amazon jungle. Jungle trek for a couple of hours. Butterfly photo safari guided by our expert guide. Lunch and drive to Mérida through La Azulita and Jají villages enjoying the views of different waterfalls along the way within the dense cloud forest of the Andes foothill.
Day 3: This is your last day in this beautiful place. Make the most of your morning by going to the beaches you haven't been to previously. Prepare to check out of your posada at one o'clock in the afternoon, time at which you will picked up and taken to the starting point of your next adventure. As an alternative you may walk to the bus station, catch the bus to Maracay and from there catch the bus to your next destination.

- River shoes or sandals with good tread and closed toes
- Light cotton trousers, shorts, tee shirts, long-sleeved shirt
- Rain protection (poncho)
- 2 bathing suits, one towel
- Sun protection/sun block
- Head protection - baseball cap, hat or scarf
- Insect repellent (suggestion - Johnson's Baby Oil, alcohol and/or "deet")
- Small flash light and spare batteries
- Small backpack for daily essentials
- Camera with plenty of battery and memory
- Plastic bag for your wet clothes.
