The adventure starts right when you get off the airplane at San Cristóbal Airport. After checking at our hotel (depending on the category selected)and having lunch, we will visit The San Cristobal Interpretation Center. Here we will get an introduction to the Galapagos, the formation of the islands, evolution of its species, fauna, migration, and how humans came to live there. We will make our way to “Cerro Tijeretas”, or “Frigate Hill”. A close encounter with marine animals and snorkeling with colorful fish species, starfish, sea urchins, or simply relaxing at this clear waters will be awaiting us here. We will also visit Playa Carola, a beautiful beach, before returning to the hotel to rest and eat dinner.
After breakfast, we will enjoy a full outdoors excursion beginning with a hike to “Mirador de la Soledad”, where we will enjoy magnificent views of San Cristobal. An outdoors lunch will be followed by a trip to the Highlands, where we will endemic quite different to that of Santa Cru or Isabela islands. We will also go through After a long day out.
Early in the morning (at 06:00 am) we will move towards Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island) via speed boat for approximately 2 ½ hours. We will meet with our guide who will take to check in at the hotel and to have a small rest after breakfast. We will move on to Highlands of Santa Cruz for an unforgettable encounter with Giant Tortoises “Galapagos” in their natural environment, it is from these wonderful creatures the islands get their name. Galapagos Finches, Bird Wizards, as well as endemic vegetation will surround us.
After lunch we will start our 45 minute hike to the beautiful white sand beach called Tortuga Bay. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos: white sand, cool surf, pelicans, fish, sea iguanas and other species of wildlife. We will return to the hotel to rest before heading to dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakfast we go to the dock to take our speed boat L/P Oceano, or one similar, to start the trip to Floreana which lasts approximately 1.45 hrs. The first stop is for snorkeling is Champion Bay, and from there we move to Endervy Islet. Afterwards, we will come back to the speedboat to go to Puerto Velasco Ibarra for lunch.
In the afternoon we will get ready for our visit to the Floreana Highlands, where we will see the caves that were used by pirates years ago, the Asylum of Peace (viewpoint), and the ancient habitat of Wittmer, one of the earliest settlements on the island. We are going to have the opportunity to watch how inhabitants extracted fresh water from the island, and we will be able taste this vital liquid. Return to Puerto Ayora for dinner and overnight.
In the morning after breakfast, we will begin the visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Here we we will be able to observe Lonesome George, the last living Giant Tortoise of his species. A large variety of Giant Tortoises in captivity is also taken care off in this place.
After a short visit to the Art Galleries of Puerto Ayora we will eat lunch. Afterwards, we will take our speed boat Oceano, or the public speedboat, to Isabela Island ( at 14:00 pm). After approximately two and half hours navigation we will be greeted by the guide and check in at our hotel. After a brief rest, we will head to the Flamingos Lagoon, the largest coastal lagoon found in the Galapagos main reproductive spot of the majority of flamingos. Dinner and accommodation will be ready for the night.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will have a full day tour to Sierra Negra Volcano. This volcano is located 13 miles from Puerto Villamil and is holds the world’s second largest volcanic crater, measuring 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep. We will hike to the crater and enjoy a breathtaking view of the beach below before continuing on to the still very active Volcan Chico, which keeps the surrounding ground always warm. (A box lunch will be provided). In the afternoon we will return to the hotel and later we will have the opportunity to go snorkeling at the colorful Concha Perla. After dinner we will get some sleep.
After breakfast we will sail to Tintoreras Islet. The lonely islet takes its name from0 a large crevice holding of very clear and calm waters where white-tip sharks known as “Tintoreras” come daily to rest on the bottom. We can also observe penguins, sea lions, and marine iguanas on the surroundings. We will also cool off a little by snorkeling with sharks as well as other colorful tropical fish that characterize the lively waters of Isabela (tube, mask, fins will be included).
In the afternoon, after lunch, we will get close to the Isabela Turtles at the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center. We will continue towards the historical site “The Wall Of Tears”, an enormous lava block wall built by prisoners while Isabela was used as penal colony from 946 to 1959. Due to the arduous labor and harsh conditions in which the prisoners lived, this site is known as “El Muro de las Lagrimas”. Additionally, we will visit a small lava tunnel and enjoy the view from Mirador Orchilla, Estero de Isabela, and check out the mangrove populated and idyllic Playa del Amor. Dinner and hotel accommodation will be provided.
Early in the morning (06:00 am) we will take the public speedboat to go to Puerto Ayora, where the guide will be waiting for us. After breakfast, we will go move on to Baltra Airport, visiting “The Twins” (a.k.a.“The Gemelos”), incredibly formed by a collapse of the Earth due to the lava flows that passed below it. The tour will end upon arrival at the Baltra Airport.
