Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Friday - 31st July: Arrival at Fiumicino Airport; transfer to city centre by train shuttle from the airport. Accommodation to a three star hotel in the Centre of Rome. Leisure time at your disposal to discover “The Eternal city”. Dinner at a local trattoria (restaurant) in “Campi dei Fiori” and conversational Italian lesson over dinner with local Romans!
Day 2, Saturday - 1st August: Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from Rome to a charming country house nearby Senigallia (city) on the Adriatic coast. Light lunch at the country house restaurant. Free time at your disposal for relaxation and enjoy the beach or the swimming pool at the country house. Dinner at a local restaurant in the town.
Day 3, Sunday - 2nd August: Breakfast served at the country house. Leisure time in the morning. Light lunch at the country house restaurant. In the afternoon, guests are transferred to the inland in Fabriano where the group visits the famous “Museo della Carta e della Filigrana”- (Museum of Watermark and Paper) for a guided tour of historical art (1.5 hours). After that we’ll visit the Frasassi Caves located in Genga one of the largest caves in Europe and take a tour of the whole cave start to finish (1.5 hour). Dinner will be served at the country house.
Day 4, Monday - 3rd August: Guests take a full day excursion visiting the breathtaking coast of the Conero National Park. The overwhelming beauty of this region’s coast is highlighted by the natural park, cliffs, beaches and the small villages of Numana and Sirolo. Lunch is served at a local Numana or Sirolo restaurant. Dinner is served at the country house.
Day 5, Tuesday - 4th August: After breakfast at the country house we depart for Jesi. Cooking tour guests leave the country house to be accommodated for two nights at a B&B or hotel in Jesi. First cooking lesson is held at the Italy Cooking Institute (fresh pasta and its sauces). Lunch is served at the Italy Cook Institute. In the afternoon, guests take a guided tour of Jesi, visit of the Pinacoteca Theatre and lots more! Enjoy a stroll along the Corso, the town shopping centre. Overnight in Jesi. Dinner in a local trattoria (restaurant).
Day 6, Wednesday - 5th August: After breakfast in Jesi. Guests enjoy a free morning and a stroll through the medieval town of Jesi and the stalls of weekly street market. Guests eat light lunch at a local cafè. In the afternoon we meet at the Ital.Cook Institute for the second cooking lesson (traditional cuisine of the coast).
Day 7, Thursday - 6th August: After breakfast guests depart their accommodations by private coach. On the way to Rome, we stop at Spoleto. Guests stop for a visit in the medieval town of Umbria.
Guests have lunch in a local Umbrian restaurant. Upon arrival to Rome in the afternoon, guests stay at a three star hotel for the night. Enjoy your last night in Italy!
Day 8, Friday - 7th August: Early departure at home.
Charming Country House near Senigalia and Beach:
- The fresh pastas with sauces: During the lesson the chef will lead the participants in the world of the pasta with all its secrets. Guests will be taught the art of handmade pasta, how to create the best dough layers and the best fillings for stuffed pasta. To complement the pasta, guests will be taught how to prepare the famous ragù (sauce). Ragù is known as one the best seasonings used for Italian pasta. Lesson is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- The traditional cuisine of the coast course: Participants are introduced to the blue fish of the Adriatic; participants learn how anchovies, cod, mackerel and mussels are prepared. With the expertise and guidance of the chef you will prepare seafood appetizers, soups, broths, fried and grilled fish. An entire day will be focused on flavors of the sea. Lesson is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
