Day 1: (5 – 6 hrs). On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by M19452 (Please look out for the board with your name on it) and you will be transferred to Arumeru River Lodge for your overnight accommodation. Arumeru River Lodge was built on the site of an old coffee farm and is situated only 700 m. South of the main Arusha-Moshi road, just a 35 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 15 minutes away from the town of Arusha. Accommodation: Arumeru River Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 2: After breakfast at the camp drive to Arusha National Park gate where you will register and meet your guide and porters. You will spend your first night at Miriakamba Hut (2750 m). This day is mostly through the forest where climbers see a variety of forest birds and mammals. There are two routes from Momella gate to Miriakamba, Southern and Northern. Southern route (road): It takes 5 hours walk from Momella gate to Miriakamba hut. Clients pass through the montage forest with different features such as the Fig Tree Arch, Maio Water falls and different kind of Vegetation.
Northern route: It takes between 3-4 hours walk from Momella gate to Miriakamba hut. This is the shortest and steepest route. Along this route the views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Momella Lakes are spectacular. Accommodation: Momella Gate (1500 m) to Miria Kamba (2750 m). Meal Plan: Full Board Basis.
Day 3: It takes 3-4 hours. Along this portion of the route visitors enjoy the spectacular view of Mt.Kilimanjaro, Momella Lakes, Meru Crater Ash cone, Mt. Meru Cliff and the little Meru. Wild animals can be seen and altitudinal change of Vegetation becomes apparent. While at this hut, the ascent to little Meru can be done in the afternoon. Accommodation: Miria Kamba to Saddle Hut (3750 m). Meal Plan: Full Board Basis.
Day 4: It takes 5-6 hours.This is the place where clients enjoy most the features of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Little Meru (3801 m) Meru Crater, Ash cone, Momella Lakes, Cliff face, Meru Peak, Ngorongoro Crater highlands. Arusha town, sunrise and sunset. Klipspringers and mountain Reedbuck are seen over rocks. High altitude bird’s e.g. Lammergeyer and flowers like everlasting can also be seen. The start for the summit is made early in the morning. After reaching the summit at 4566m clients do walk all the way back to Miriakamba hut. Accommodation: Saddle Hut to Summit. Meal Plan: Full Board Basis.
Day 5: This is the final day and takes 2 and 3 hours for the short and long route respectively from Miriakamba to the gate where you will be transferred to Arumeru River Lodge for Lunch, dinner and overnight. Day at the Leisure at the Lodge. Accommodation: Arumeru River Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board Basis.
Day 6: (5 – 6 hrs). Transfer from the Lodge to Kilimanjaro National Park gate where you will register and meet your guide and porters. The climb starts from the Machame gate 1800 m above the sea level this is the richest forest area on the mountain and the zone from where 96% of the water on Kilimanjaro originates. You will have lunch at half way clearing a small opening in the tree and continuous climbing steadily up to Machame camp 3000 m above the sea level. You may have your first closer look at the glaciated of Kibo if the evening clouds permit. Accommodation: Machame Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 7: (4 – 5 hrs). A shorter day that’s begins by climbing up to a steep ridge to reach a small semicircular cliff known as Picnic rock. There are excellent views of Kibo as the jagged rim of Shira plateau from here and it is so good rest point too. The trail continuous less steeply to reach Shira Camp 3800 m. Accommodation: Shira Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 8: Day of acclimatization. Accommodation: Shira Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 9: Lover tower acclimatization route to Barranco Camp. Accommodation: Lover tower. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 10: (5 – 6 hrs). A morning of gentle ascent and panoramic views leaving the moorland plateau behind to work on lava ridges beneath the glaciers of the western breach. You will pass lower tower 4550 m then slowly to the Camp Barranco 3900 m. Accommodation: Barranco Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 11: (5 – 6 hrs). A short but steep climb out of Karanga and an easy poach on compacted scree with wide views to reach Barafu Cam p 4600 m. the remainder of the day spent resting in preparation for the final to the summit at midnight (3 – 4 hrs) Barafu to Stella 5735 m – 6 hrs, to Uhuru 1 hrs 5895 m. Accommodation: Karanga Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 12: Day of acclimatization. Accommodation: Karanga Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 13: (5 – 6 hrs). After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge up the Barranco Wall, through the Karanga Valley (lunch at 4200 m/13, 779 ft), and the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu Hut. You have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here we make camp, rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day. The two peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo are to be seen from this position. Accommodation: Barafu Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 14: (3 -4 hrs). After come from summit we descend down to Mweka Camp 3000 m A sustained descent through lovely forest with lush undergrowth takes us to the National Park gate Mweka 1650 m and on through coffee and banana farms to Mweka Village. Accommodation: Mweka Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 15: (3- 4 hrs). Breakfast and continue your descend past the Mandara encampment to the Park Gate. This is where successful climbers will collect their well-earned certificates. You will be transferred to KIA Lodge nearby the airport for hot Lunch, thereafter transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your International flight.
