Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Tana
Arriving at Ivato international airport and meet our representative for transfer to hotel for overnight at Anjary hotel (midrange) or at Colbert hotel (top).
Day 2: Tana - Maroantsetra
Take a morning flight from Antananarivo to Maroantsetra and then transfert to the hotel Maroantsetra has a very lovely beach, boarded with a primary forest. Start the day visiting the village just close by to learn culture and the tradition of the Betsimisaraka tribe. Overnight at Coco Beach (Midrange) or Relais de Masoala (top).
Days 3-4: Maroantsetra - Tampolo
Morning departure by fast boat for Tampolo, a private enclave almost at the tip of the untouched wilderness of Masoala National Park at the edge of the marine reserve. Hike in the pristine forest, habitat of he red ruffed lemur, rare birds and a host of reptiles and invertebrates, lunch and afternoon to explore nearby forest or snorkel at Tampolo. Overnight at Tampolo Lodge.
Day 5: Masoala - Nosy Mangabe
Take the boat from Tampolo to Nosy Mangabe. Visit to Nosy Mangabe.
The thickly forested small island nature reserve of Nosy Mangabe (520 hectares) is located in Baie d’Antongil about 5 km offshore from Maroantsetra. Nosy Mangabe reserve in one of the best place to see the Aye–ayes; there are also several other lemurs species: mouse lemurs, brown lemurs, black and white ruffed lemurs and leaf tailed gecko, including a small water fall.
Day 6: Nosy Manga be - Maroantsetra
In the morning, take a fast inboard motor boat to get to Maroantsetra; in the afternoon, village walk to see and get familiar with the local people daily activities at the market and to see the local products. Overnight at Hotel Cocobeach.
Day 7: Maroantsetra - Tana
Take a flight back to Tana; upon arrival, direct transfer to the airport waiting for a flight departing just after midnight tonight.
