Tour Itinerary:

Day 1, Sunday - August 2nd: Arrival at Fiumicino Airport; transfer to city centre by train shuttle from the airport. Accommodation at a three star hotel in the centre of Rome. Leisure time at your disposal to discover “The Eternal city”. Dinner at a local trattoria (restaurant) in “Campo dei Fiori” and conversational Italian lesson over dinner with local Romans!

Day 2, Monday - August 3rd: Early breakfast is served at the hotel. Transfer from Rome by train to Jesi. Guests stay in Jesi at a B&B or hotel. Lunch at a café and time to unwind. Dinner is served at a local restaurant.

Day 3, Tuesday - August 4th: Breakfast is served at a B&B or hotel in Jesi. First cooking lesson is held at the Ital.Cook Institute. (fresh pasta and it's sauces). Lunch is served at the Ital.Cook Institute. In the afternoon, guests take a guided tour of Jesi. Guests visit the Pinacoteca Theatre and lots more! Enjoy a stroll along the Corso, the town shopping centre. Dinner in a local trattoria (restaurant).

Day 4, Wednesday - August 5th: Breakfast in Jesi. Guests enjoy a free morning and stroll through the medieval town and the Jesi weekly market stalls. Light lunch at the Regional Enoteca (cold cellar) on Ital.Cook Institute’s premises for wine tasting. In the afternoon we meet at the Ital.Cook Institute for the second cooking lesson (traditional cuisine of the coast). Before dinner, guests can re-visit the Corso (main shopping promenade in Jesi). Dinner at the Ital.Cook Institute.

Day 5, Thursday - August 6th: Breakfast is served in Jesi. Guests enjoy a free morning. In the afternoon, guests are transferred to the inland for a visit dedicated to the hidden treasure in the heart of the region. Guests visit a Salumificio (salami preparation mill) in Fabriano, and stop for lunch in a local trattoria. Guests are transferred to the inland in Fabriano where the group visits the famous “Museo della Carta e della Filigrana”- (Museum of Watermark and Paper) for a guided tour of historical art (1.5 hours). After that we’ll visit the Frasassi Caves located in Genga one of the largest cave sites in Europe and take a tour of the whole cave start to finish (1.5 hours). Guests return to Jesi for dinner.

Day 6, Friday - August 7th: Guests take a full Day excursion visiting the breathtaking coast of the Conero National Park. The overwhelming beauty of this region’s coast is highlighted by the natural park, cliffs, beaches and the small villages of Loreto, Numana and Sirolo. Lunch is served at a local Numana or Sirolo restaurant. Dinner is served at the country house.

Day 7, Saturday - August 8th: Breakfast is served in Jesi. After breakfast guests are transferred to the country house near the beach where they’ll stay for 7 nights. Guests enjoy a free Day at their disposal for some relaxation and sun. Dinner is served in Senigallia.

Note: Day 7 – Day 13 at the country house by the beach.

Day 8, Sunday - August 9th: Breakfast is served at the country house. Full Day guided tour in Urbino - (The Pearl of Renaissance) and Pesaro. Lunch is served at a local trattoria in Urbino. In the afternoon we move to Pesaro for a walk along the promenade. Guests return to the country house for dinner.

Days 9– 12 Thursday: Guests enjoy a leisure day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner served at the country house.

Day 13, Friday - August 14th: Breakfast and lunch served at country house. Guests enjoy leisure time. In the evening, guests are encouraged to enjoy free time with the locals for their annual “Summer Jamboree” in the streets of Senigallia. This festival is reminiscent of the 1940’s and 50’s; Dance the swing, Rev your motor scooters and Bring your hair gel! Last dinner served in Senigallia at the “Summer Jamboree Festival”.

Day 14, Saturday - August 15th: Ferragosto - Italian National Holiday. Breakfast is served at the country house. Guests depart on coach for Rome. On the way, we stop at a local trattoria (restaurant) in Spoleto for lunch. Guests arrive in Rome by afternoon. Leisure time is spent in Rome. Guests enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Rome.

Cooking Lessons:

- Fresh pasta and its sauces course: During the lesson the chef will lead the participants in the world of the pasta with all its secrets. Guests will be taught the art of handmade pasta, how to create the best dough layers and the best fillings for stuffed pasta. To complement the pasta, guests will be taught how to prepare the famous ragù (sauce). Ragù is known as one of the best seasonings used in Italian pastas. Lesson is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

- Traditional cuisine of the coast course: Participants are introduced to the blue fish of the Adriatic; participants learn how anchovies, cod, mackerel and mussels are prepared. With the expertise and guidance of the chef you will prepare seafood appetizers, soups, broths, fried and grilled fish. An entire day will be focused on flavors of the sea. Lesson is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
