- Departure time: Land arrival through Carretera Austral - Requirements: Warm clothes, thermal clothes, trekking shoes, clothes for protect you from the wind and cold, cap, sunglasses, light and comfortable clothes for indoors. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arriving at the airport in Balmaceda, ground transportation by the Southern Road (Carretera Austral ) we will stop in a small river valley lookout point (Ibanez valley) to access the great and largest lake shared with Argentina Lake General Carrera and continue touring on their incredible landscapes of Andean in order to reach Puerto Tranquilo. We will stop for fuel and continue our road to the farm with one stop at the marble cathedrals; we will visit this place in a small boat trip to these formations of marble on the shore of Lake General Carrera. We continue heading South to the ranch until reaching port Guadal Bertrand in the place where the Baker river begins its descent to the sea, we will continue following the course of the river Baker to reach the confluence of the Baker and Chacabuco river’s where we turn to the east to get a new road to the Lodge. Includes: (D). Day 2: Departure from the Lodge early in the morning after a great breakfast we will explore the Chacabuco Valley and we could have the opportunity to see a lot of bird around the Chacabuco river. We will cross the border if is possible to access to the Hand cave a great place in Argentina where it is possible to observe many rustic hand painted in a rock cave, we will return to our lodge in Chile in the afternoon. Day 3: Departure from the Lodge after breakfast we will drive heading to Laguna Pepa beautiful Laguna in the middle of the mountain where we will start our trekking down to the Cochrane lake, we will reach the shore of the lake and continue the trail following the shore of the lake getting into the river of the same name of the lake. Great opportunity to see the Huemules because we are crossing in this hike the Natural huemules reserve Tamango. At the end of the trail we will get the entrance of the reserve from the Cochrane town where our transfer will be waiting to take us to the Farm and our lodge. Day 4: Transfer to Balmaceda by privet van. Departure. Note: The access to the farm can be done by privet flight transportation one way or round trip in between Balmaceda a Cochrane / Cochrane / Balmaceda, we recommend to go one way by airplane and one way by land.
