In winter the days are short and the evenings and nights can be chilly – this is why we put emphasis on comfortable accommodation with open fireplace, central heating system and cosily furnished where the riders can relax in the evening after a hard ride.
The first 3-4 days we will use to build up the physical condition of the rider and we use this time as well to refresh riding knowledge in the yard for those who would like it. Like this you will be able to know your horse and we will end in 2-3 days whole – in the week we will do about 20 riding hours.
Day 1: Arriving, transfer from the airport to your accommodation. Welcome drink at your accommodation. 2-3 hours time to rest and organize yourself. For those who arrive before noon we offer the possibility to have a look at the stables in the afternoon, the stables are 3 miles from the stable and the daily transfer to the stables are included. Drive to the stables (5 minutes way), introduce of all the horses and hack around the ranch, equipment for horse and rider. The riding group will meet for diner at a typical Turkish restaurant and be introduced to the riding stable staff, you will meet your weekly riding team, the weekly organization will be introduced and you will have the possibility to ask questions.
Day 2: Turkish breakfast at your accommodation 8-9 a.m. Transfer to the stables. Grooming and preparing a horse. First riding in the yard to check the horse and the rider. Lesson to refresh in the yard and a 30 minutes guided trail rides or 1,5 hour guided trail ride for those who feel confident with the horse. Small lunch at a Turkish restaurant at the seaside and one hour off. At 3 p.m. we meet at the stable to have a second go 1,5 hours trail ride in walking and trotting pace a tour starting at the village and leading on the rich of the hills with scenery views on the Gulf of Hisarönü - ending in the village of Hisarönü and slowly following the village road back to the stables. Lunch at a restaurant and dropping at your accommodation.
Day 3: 9.a.m at the stable, preparing the horses for a 3-4 hours trail with a stop over at a a typical Turkish breakfast brunch restaurant. Planned turn-back to the stables at about 3.p.m. For those who would like more refreshing riding lesson we offer one lesson at 10a.m. and then we could join the other at the Turkish restaurant using a quicker cutting trail so that we could have a bite all together. Return to your accommodation, 5p.m. we could take you to Marmaris – return about 10 p.m. Possibility to shop, Turkish dinner, cinema, visit of the Bar street with a lot of bars or only a Turkish coffee house with possibility to smoke a water pipe.
Day 4: One Day Off, possibility to book a jeep safari to explore one of the two peninsulas bordering th Gulf of Hisarönü. You’ll visit either Bozburun a fisher village with a touristic touch or Datca – a blooming touristic city with the possibility to visit the antic site of Knidos. Visiting hot springs in Köycegiz and taking a bath - this is even possible for rainy days. Visiting Mugla, the provincial town of our area, 700 meter high, an ancient Greek center with inner courts, a blooming university town with a lot of meeting point for students and last not least a real Turkish town with side to side living of modern Turks and organized boat trip in the Gulf of Hisarönü, takes about 5 hours with stop over in small coves, fisher villages etc.
Walking or biking tour. Fishing and snorkeling or diving, clay work in an atelier for beginners and advanced. For those who would like a half day 2 hours riding either in the yard as a refreshing lesson followed by a short trail ride or a two hour trail ride we could offer it as well and you could pass the afternoon in the town of Marmaris (the day off can be swapped if the weather conditions would advice it).
Day 5: A full day trail ride of 6 hours with a break of 1,5 hours separated in two sections. We will go over the hills in the original old village of Hiarönü, crossing this village and going on about 150 meter hills to the village of Kecibükü where most of you will lodge. A short break for a coffee or tea at Sakinvadi. Then we climb once again hills of 200-250 meter hight in direction of Osmaniye. Lunch - picknick and then we go on from Osmaniye in western direction aiming for the restaurant of Asparan. There a camp will be made - tents, a barbecue and camp fire organized by the restaurant. For those who prefer to sleep in their bed we will organize a transfer to Kecibükü. Everybody has to take care of his horse and we will finish the day by smelling and hearing the horses.
Day 6: From Asparan we will start our trail ride after a rich Turkish breakfast from 8-9 a.m. Preparing the horses and getting ready for a 4-5 hours ride – first from Asparan along the foothills, crossing a river and the main road to Datca to Degirmenyani. Hack around soft riding terrain for hours heading slowly back to the stable.
Day 7: After the two-day ride we start only about noon, we organize an 3 hour ride from the stable over the hills to your valley and then along the main road to the beach of Kiz Kumu in Orhaniye – nice canter along the sea side or a 3 hours ring ride to an antique side called Castabus.
Day 8: Departure for those who will only leave in the afternoon we will meat a last time at the stables to groom the horses and hack around the stales for one hour. This is an option. Transfer to the airport.
