Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa by flight or train. Lhasa airport/ Train station picking up, have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 2: Lhasa Sightseeing. Today you will visit Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple, bustling bazaar along the Barkhor Street. Today, you will enjoy 1-2 hours feature service of meditation, including teaching and learning, under the guidance of a knowledgeable Lama in Jokhang Temple. We guarantee your visit to Potala Palace, no matter how busy the entrance ticket purchasing is. Overnight at Lhasa. Includes: (B).
Day 3: Lhasa Sightseeing. The escorted today will cover some other two important Monasteries in Lhasa - the Drepung Monastery, the Sera Monastery. Also you will visit the famous Dalai lama summer palace - Norbulingka and Tibet History Museum which is rebuilt at the end of 2008. Overnight at Lhasa. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Lhasa/ Yumbulakang/ Trundruk monastery (190 km, 2 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition, 3700 meters). Morning drive to Tsedang, located in Yarlung Valley, which is the capital of Shannan Prefecture. It's reputed as the cradle of Tibetan Civilization. In the afternoon to visit Yumbulakang Palace and Trundruk Monastery. Overnight at Tsedang.
Day 5: Tsedang/ Samye Monastery/ Lhasa (170km, 2 hours driving). Today's visit is Samya Monastery which is the first one built in the 7th century and has three buildings with different style (Tibetan Hans and India). Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 6: Lhasa/ Yamdrotso lake/ Gyangtse - Shigatse (440 meters, 6 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition, 3900 meters). Morning time around 8:00 am depart from Lhasa, pass Gangbala Mountain which is over than 5000 meters, then to Yamdrotso lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet (another 2 is Namtso lake and Manasarova), then to Gyangtse, visit Gyangtse Kumbum, far view Zongshan ruins, Shalu Monastery. Then to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.
Day 7: Shigatse/ Lhasa (340 km, 3-4 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition, 3900 meters). After breakfast to visit Tashilumpo Monastery which was Built in 1447, the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas, Kangshai Zong fur and handicraft market, New Place of Panchan Lama, then drive back to Lhasa. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 8: Lhasa airport/train station dropping off. Morning Lhasa airport or train station dropping off, end the trip. Includes: (B).
