Aleppo is not included in this itinerary. Palmyra, Damascus & Hama are so varied & rich historical sites which are quite good for a minimum of five days visit.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Damascus. Arrive at Damascus airport, to be met & assisted by your assigned guide. Transfer to your hotel for dinner & O/N. Includes: (D). Day 2: Damascus/ Palmyra. After breakfast, we leave our hotel for a half day tour in Damascus. The national museum, the folklore museum, the Omayyad mosque, the street called straight, St.Paul's window & St.Ananias chapel. We lunch in a cozy Damascene restaurant. Free time to do shopping in the tempting Bazaars of a thousand item & an item. Afterwards we knock the road off to Palmyra. Arrive to your hotel in Palmyra, check in, dinner & O/N. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 3: Damascus/ Palmyra/ Hama. After breakfast, we move to explore Palmyra, the city of the date palm, wealth & greatness. We visit the tower tombs & the underground tombs famous because of its unique fresco, the temple of the mighty god Bel, the colonnaded street & the administrative quarter of the city. Lunch is in a local restaurant. Continue the visit to the archeological museum & Diocltian camp. We drive eastward to Homs, then to Hama, the old Aramaic Kingdom. Check in at the hotel, dinner & O/N. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 4: Hama/ Homs/ Crac des Chevaliers/ Ma'aloula/ Damascus. This morning, we visit the huge waterwheels of the city & then we drive south to visit the mosque of the great Islamic leader Khaled Ibn Al Walid. We continue our visit to the Crac des Chevaliers, the castle which Lawrence commented on as being the wholly admirable castle in the world. Upon arrival we start the tour by climbing up till we get to the leader's own watching tower. Lunch is in the king's daughter tower. We farewell the castle & drive southward to the picturesque village of Ma'aloula, the village in which tradition, mythology and even the old Aramaic language still drawing their daily way of living as they are isolated in the Qalamoun range of mountain. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 5: Damascus/ Bosra/ Jordan. Depart Damascus to the Syrian Jordanian border. We stop for two hours visit to Bosra, a whole city constructed out of the black basaltic stones. Transfer to Jordan. Includes: (B). Notes:
