A 7km walk (1,5-2h) will take you through a landscape which looks like a Dutch painting. In Schiedam, an old harbour city, you will have lunch before visiting the Dutch Jenever (kind of Gin) museum. At the Kering house you will find out which amazing constructions protect our small country of the dangers of the sea and rivers. This night you'll dine and stay at a nice hotel near the dunes and beach in Zeeland.

Day 2: Rockanje - St. Michielsgestel

After breakfast you drive over the storm surge barrier of Haringvliet on your way to the Watersnoodmuseum. The flood disaster of February, which washed half our country away, is commemorated here. You go to the lovely borough Veere for lunch. In the afternoon you visit Deltapark Neeltje Jans. This park is located at the Oosterschelde Storm Surge barrier and offers information on the nature and wildlife, deltaworks and lot's of activities. After this visit it's an 1,5 hour drive to a comfortable room at a true Dutch dairy farm. You will stay here for two nights. If you like, you can help feed the animals or milk the cows!

Day 3: Around St. Michielsgestel

This morning you go to the borough of Zaltbommel. It takes about 30 minutes on a bicycle to get to the medieval castle Ammersoyen. After a tour, which takes you back into time, lunch will be served in a local restaurant. The bicycles go back to the rental company and you go to a wooden shoe maker. In a demonstration he will show you this old, typical dutch craft. In a nearby restaurant you will dine before returning to the farm.

Day 4: St. Michielsgestel - Deventer

It's an hour drive to Paleis 't Loo. See how the Dutch Royal family used to live. In the nearby National Park De Hoge Veluwe are lot's of possibilities. There is the Kroller Muller museum/Museonder/Country Residence Hubertus to visit. Or you can use the free white bicycles to get around or go on a walk to spot the wild animals. The hotel is in the Hanzestad Deventer. Diner will be at a nice establishment in the city.

Day 5: Deventer - Amsterdam

Your first destination today is 'Venice of the Netherlands, Giethoorn. In a silent boat it's easy to enjoy the canals and lovely village. Lunch will also be in Giethoorn before you go to Schokland. This used to be an island of the Zuiderzee, but became part of the mainland when the Noordoostpolder was created. Now Schokland is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
