These two-day Matapica tour goes thru the coast line of the wild coast or better known as Matapica beach. This place is uninhabited and on 30 km away of Paramaribo city. From the city we travel by bus to the Commewijne district, from where a small boat will take us to plantation Johanna Margareta. After lunch we continue by boat straight through the mangrove jungles and swamp area to Matapica. This boat tour will take one hour of our time, but for the time being you will enjoy the rich flora and fauna. Lots of water birds, mammels and crocodiles will be spotted.
On Matapica can you make a beautiful beach walk, swim in the Atlantic, go fishing and enjoying a beautiful sun perdition in the evening, when the sun is under, and the tide becomes high you go together with the guide in search of the giant turtles. You will spend the night in a house on beds. Transport: Bus and open boat.

- Long sleeves shirt/pullover
- Patta's or sandals
- Cap
- Insect repellent
- Small bag for own stuff
- Raincoat
- Flashlight
- SRD in small coupures for personal expenditure.
