Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: From Paramaribo we go by bus to Pokigron. This is a Maroon village and departure place for the locals to their village by boats. Our destination will be Danta Bai, Isadou, Jaw Jaw or Knini Paati lodge. In the afternoon is time to stretch the legs, the island to explore and to swim or lay down in one of the rapids.

Day 2: We start the day with a walk from the surrounding village to the jungle. Here we will see some medicinal plants. After the jungle experience we will go for the village life experience. In the late afternoon there is time for a little recovery of the walk and in the evening hours we prepare ourselves for a cultural dance of the local people.

Day 3: On this day the canoe will bring us upstream to other Maroon villages and before departure to Paramaribo we can take a last dip in the river. A combination with Brownsberg Nature Park and/or an island in the Brokopondo lake is also possible.

Take along:
- Sandals
- Hand/bath screen
- Cap
- Swimming clothing
- Insect repellent
- Trousers and long sleeve shirt for the evening hours
- Small bag for own stuff etc
- SRD in small notes for own expenditure.
