During a jungle hike - you may decide how long it will be - you will become acquainted with the extensive flora and fauna of the Amazon forest. Our guides are able to tell you about the animals making their home in this area, the medicinal qualities of the plants or acquaint you with the colorful beauty of the jungle flowers.
Besides staying in one of our luxurious accommodations, you may also choose to stay one or more nights in a more simple camp. Together with a guide, you leave Nature Resort Kabalebo for the river. Following a hike straight through the jungle, you finally arrive at one of our camps. You may spend the night here in a hammock or a tent. It goes without saying that food and drink are taken care of, and in the evening, your meal is prepared.
Thanks to the unique location of Nature Resort Kabalebo, you are at the right address to go kayaking. Subsequently, you could kayak down the Kabalebo River for hours. While on the way, you may stop for a snack or just enjoy the untouched rain forest. The many "sula's" make the trip worthwhile even for the more experienced kayakers. Misty Mountain: there could not be a better name for this mysterious mountain. With her five hundred meter height, the mountain is an impressive sight, directly across from the primary accommodation of Nature Resort Kabalebo. Every morning, the top is surrounded by low hanging mist, while the early rays of the sun shine on the trees growing along the mountainside.
Nature Resort Kabalebo is well known for her river wealthy in fish and is then a paradise for the true fish enthusiast. It is not for nothing that we are a member of the "International Game Fish Association". Because no people live in the wide vicinity of Nature Resort Kabalebo, this part of Suriname is truly "unspoiled nature". Due partly to this, many wild animals can be found in this area. Think of the jaguar, monkeys, various types of birds and the most colorful butterflies. Nature Resort Kabalebo lies in perhaps one of the most populated bird areas in Suriname.
