Day 1: Belize City - San Ignacio. Belize City arrival and transfer to Chaa Creek Cottages in San Ignacio (approximately 2 hours) in the foothills of the Maya Mountain range. En-route you'll stop at the Belize Zoo. Afterward, continue to Chaa Creek. Your time at Chaa Creek is free to enjoy as you wish. Although Chaa Creek is the ideal place to relax in tranquil surroundings, a wide range of daily activities are available for guests including trail walking, birding, swimming, canoeing, white water rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding and study tours of the Rainforest Medicinal Trail, Natural History Center and Butterfly Farm. Includes: (D). Days 2 & 3: Chaa Creek. Days to enjoy the activities and expeditions. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 4: Chaa Creek - Placencia - Inn at Robert's Grove. Departing Chaa Creek this morning, you'll drive about 2 hours into the heart of the Maya Mountain range for a full day caving adventure. Along the way, make a stop at Cave’s Branch for a float trip. Sitting in inner tubes with headlamps to light your way, you'll float down an underground river, and marvel at the glittering stalagmites and stalactites, and other unique cave formations. Afterward, continue overland to Placencia and the Inn at Robert's Grove. Overnight accommodations in a beach-view room with all meals included. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Days 5 & 7: Robert's Grove. Days at leisure. Included are tours of the Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve, snorkeling on the Southern cays and/or Monkey River. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 8: Placencia - Belize City - Int'l departure. You’ll be transferred to the airport in Placencia for your flight to Belize City. Upon arrival, check in for your international flight. Includes: (B).
