The Dalai Lama's annual teachings used to be held in Dharamashala, but for the teachings in 2010, the venue has been shifted to Bodhgaya, the 'navel of the earth' where the Buddha attained enlightenment. We will take this opportunity to first visit Delhi, Patna, Rajgir and Nalanda on pilgrimage and then attend the 6 days of teachings teachings at Bodhgaya. While at Bodhgaya we will also explore the holy sites and surounding villages. After the teachings we will carry on our pilgrimage to Varanasi and Sarnath before we return to Delhi.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, January 2nd: Begin at 12 Noon. Delhi - Patna by air.
Day 2, January 3rd: Patna - Rajgir.
Day 3, January 4th: Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya.
Day 4, January 5th: Bodhgaya.
Day 5, January 6th: Bodhgaya.
Day 6, January 7th: Bodhgaya.
Day 7, January 8th: Bodhgaya.
Day 8, January 9th: Bodhgaya.
Day 9, January 10th: Bodhgaya - Varanasi/Sarnath.
Day 10, January 11th: Varanasi/Sarnath.
Day 11, January 12th: Varanasi - Delhi by air.
