Colourful textiles portraying superb craftsmanship of the locals and strong tribal culture of the splendid state of Gujarat is the focus of this tour. The tour encompasses all the major attractions giving a unique opportunity to compare and contrast the distinct landscapes. The colourful textiles & exemplary craftsmanship. The traditions of the local Islamic mosques, the Hindu temples & the Jain temples and witness the vibrant tribal life. Additionally, a couple of nights at the idyllic beach in Diu is a relaxing retreat.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart UK. Fly to Mumbai.

Day 2: Arrive Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai we greet you and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3: In Mumbai. Today explore Mumbai including visit to Gateway of India, Mani Bhawani, Marine Drive. Juhu beach, Hanging Garden, Kamla Nehru Garden, Chowpatty.

Day 4: Mumbai-Bhuj. Morning fly to Bhuj. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bhuj including Aina Mahel, Palace of mirrors. Kutch Museum, the oldest museum in Gujarat and Palace of Rao Pragmalji's.

Day 5: In Bhuj. Day excursion to Mandavi. Visit various sights in Mandavi including the Royal Vijay Vilas Palace and the Wind Mills on the beach.

Day 6: In Bhuj. Day excursion to the tribal villages of Banni Region where the tribal races like the Jats, Harijans, Rabari, Dhaneta lives.

Day 7: Bhuj-Gondal. Morning drive to Gondal, enroute visiting Dhamadka. In Gondal, visit Naulakha Palace. Evening at leisure.

Day 8: Gondal-Sasan Gir. Morning drive to Sasangir for 2 nights stay. Sasangir is habitat of the last of Asiatic Lions. Apart from the Lion there are more than 30 species of other animals including panthers, hyenas, foxes, wild boars and a number of deer and antelope.

Day 9: In Sasan Gir. Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in search of the elusive Lion.

Day 10: Sasan Gir-Diu. Morning drive to Diu to stay at a beach resort.

Day 11: In Diu. Day at leisure at the beach.

Day 12: Diu/Bhavnagar. Morning drive to Bhavnagar for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Bhavnagar-Uteliya. Morning drive to Uteliya enroute visiting Palitana. Evening at leisure at Uteliya.

Day 14: Uteliya-Zainabad. Morning drive to Zainabad enroute visiting Lothal, part of Indus Valley civilization. On arrival in Zainabad stay at the camp and enjoy a game drive to see wild asses in the Rann of Kutch.

Day 15: Zainabad-Vadodra. Morning drive to Baroda for overnight stay.

Day 16: Vadodra- Ahmedabad. Morning drive to Ahmedabad. Later explore the city including visit to Jumma Masjid, Sabarmati Asharam situated on the banks of River Sabarmati and founded by Mahatma Gandhi.

Day 17: In Ahmedabad. Day excursion to Modhera & Patan . Modhera has a beautiful and partially ruined Sun Temple; it was so designed so that the dawn sun shone on the image of Surya, the Sun God. Patan was the ancient Hindu capital and has more that 100 Jain Temples and is also famous for its beautifully designed patola Silk Saris.

Day 18: Ahmedabad- Mumbai (Depart Mumbai). Fly to Mumbai in time to board your return international flight.
