Day 1: Depart UK. Overnight flight to Cochin.
Day 2: Arrive Chennai. We greet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Chennai.
Day 3: Chennai. Day visit to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram.
Day 4: Chennai. Day excursion to the town of Tirupati, famous for its ancient temple of Lord Balaji.
Day 5: Chennai - Pondicherry. In the morning drive to Pondicherry, a quaint town which upholds the French tradition to this day. Afternoon, excursion of the town visiting the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. Evening at leisure.
Day 6: Pondicherry - Thanjavur. Early morning long drive to Thanjavur, a little town set amidst the lush rice fields of the river Cauvery delta. Afternoon visit the magnificient Brideeshwara temple, the Thanjavur Palace and the Saraswathi Mahal library.
Day 7: Thanjavur - Madurai. Early morning drive to Madurai en route visiting the splendid temples in Trichy. Afternoon, excursion of the temple city of Madurai. Late evening, witness the religious ceremony at the Meenakshi temple.
Day 8: Madurai. Day visit to Palani, one of the most famous pilgrim centers in South India.
Day 9: Madurai - Periyar. Morning drive to Periyar wildlife reserve. Late afternoon, cruise Lake Periyar to watch wildlife. Later visit the famous Kumily spice market.
Day 10: Periyar - Cochin. Morning, drive to Cochin. Afternoon, explore sites of the city including the Jewish synagogue and the famous Chinese fishing nets. In the evening, attend the Kathakali dance performance.
Day 11: Cochin - Ooty. Early morning drive to Ooty, exotic hill station of South India located amidst the Nilgiri hills. In the afternoon, excursion of the town followed by leisurely evening to take in the spectacular views.
Day 12: Ooty - Mysore. Drive to the imperial city of Mysore. In the afternoon, visit the Mysore Palace, the Chamundi Hills, the Nandi Bull and the Brindavan Gardens. Evening at leisure.
Day 13: Mysore - Bangalore. Drive to Bangalore enroute visiting Srirangapatnam. In the afternoon, visit sites of Bangalore including the Bull Temple, the Botanical Gardens and the Vidhan Sabha.
Day 14: Bangalore. Day free to explore the city at your own pace or you may take the option of full day excursion to Puttaparthi.
Day 15: Depart Bangalore. Transfer to the international airport in time to board your return flight.
